How about sending some materials, along with them, to Haiti as jobs saved or created... rescuing, cleaning and rebuilding their country? Maybe after that, no red dictator or corrupt prez can run the country.
I remember when Jesse grabbed all the illegals in the Northeast on his bus routes to New Orleans (though it was touted as taking Katrina residents, now displaced, back home), as they got gigs rebuilding and Houston got residents that upped crime and burdened the state coffers on aid to families.
If the residents (who knew trades, at least), had the materials and funds, instead of pre-paid cards and trailers for years, it would’ve been different. They would have had more pride in NO and more respect for their city.
My family, though they lost their homes, got the heck out, settled their claims, grabbed up the lesser fortunate relatives, headed to Miss., Texas, TN and up north; All got jobs, got apartments or the next homes in record time. They didn’t have their hands out four years after the fact... or even right after the fact. (yes, the less fortunates got the heck out quick to get a gig)
No slam on anyone else, just how we were raised.
Those people have been through hell and don’t know any life outside of their past, present commie leaders (who’s never there when they need them). It just sucks that money has been sent for years and it never gets to the people. Makes me think, why even try.
I’m all for treating, feeding, even taking down the ruins after search and rescue, but where is THEIR gov’t? BTW, we’re not doing too well here... even though it’s thousands of times better than PAP right now. The MSM acts as if the whole side of their island is in the sea and no where else in Haiti is available or functioning. I know it’s a huge amount of people, but what else am I missing?
