I received a jubilant email from a old union type I used to work with. He was beside himself with joy. They don’t realize that they have now PO’d 85% of the workers that don’t belong to a union. Can they really be this narrow minded?

I would say it's more like tone deaf. I don't know the exact numbers but your 85% sounds about right. Union membership is about 15% of the workforce, I think I've read, and most of that number are government workers. I think these people are sticking a poker in everyones eye. Unbelievable!
