Schumer: Brown a "Far-Right Tea-Bagger"
In a fundraising e-mail on Martha Coakley's behalf, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) calls Scott Brown a "far-right tea-bagger Republican."
(start quote) ----------------------- Dear Friend,
I got the message below from Ted Kennedy's widow, Vicki, and I wanted to make sure you saw it.
Martha Coakley is running to fill the rest of Ted Kennedy's term, and her opponent is a far-right tea-bagger Republican.
It would be bad enough to lose this seat and Democrats' sixtieth vote in the Senate right before the final health care reform vote. But it would be even worse for the decisive "no" vote to come from Ted Kennedy's old seat.
The special election is coming up on Tuesday, and it's going to be close. Read Vicki's message below, then make a contribution of $25 or more to Martha Coakley's campaign today.
Thank you,
Chuck Schumer

I've taken the liberty of contacting the senior senator from New York to inform him both of my disappointment and disgust at his sinking to the level of the common press:
Dear Senator Schumer:
I am writing to express my disgust and deep displeasure with your very unprofessional and disturbing remark regarding Mr. Scott Brown, the Republican candidate for the Senate seat vacated by the late Hon. Edward Kennedy, per the quotation from a campaign mailing, and reported by the National Review Online at http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/post/?q=ZDcyMjA0ZjQ3YzM1NjQ0ZmNjNGZkYWFiZDgwOTFmZGY=
which reads as follows:
Martha Coakley is running to fill the rest of Ted Kennedys term, and her opponent is a far-right tea-bagger Republican.
Sir, are you not aware that the term tea-bagger is a reference to a sexually deviant practice mostly known to be performed by and received by homosexual men, and by heterosexual women (to a far lesser extent) ?
Specifically, the term refers to the act of the performer inserting his scrotum into the mouth of the recipient - in a manner such that it resembles the dipping of a tea bag in a cup of tea! Certainly, this sort of act that should never be referenced in any polite or official speech in most circumstances, much less coming from the mouth of a senior senator!
While this vile and filthy reference has been popularized by certain segments of our supposedly professional national press corps, and certainly makes for campaign fodder - you, sir, have crossed a line of decency.
Shame on you, sir. The people of the state of New York expect much better of you.
If you are a man of honor, and have any respect whatsoever for your office, and the honor of the United States Senate, publicly apologize to Mr. Brown immediately, and to refrain from using such disgusting language in either your official or your campaign communications.
Or to put it more bluntly, Senator - as my second grade teacher would admonish her students: Please learn to *think* before you speak.
Respectfully yours, (in spite of your lack of respect)

Alas, video gamers already took that word and it denotes the "dick dance" the winner does over the prone form of the loser.
Been that way quite some time, and if there's an older meaning for the term, it's simply too obscure for any of us to worry about.
So, don't sweat it. If Chuck Schumer wants to say we are winners, then that's what we are.
This is actually Charles Sumner's seat at stake.
He was bitterly opposed by the Democrats who, in fact, attempted to beat him to death on the Floor of the US Senate.
Very little has changed ~ Democrats are still trying to brutalize, beat, murder and physically rip apart Republicans in this country. Coakley's attack on a reporter the other evening is so typical of what those people have been doing for more than a century and a half!
Chuck U Schumer probably learned the meaning of “tea bagger” from Bwahney Fwank while playing the Rusty Trombone. Yet “macaca” caused a termination. Ugh.
Thats what he gets when he repeats what he hears, without understanding the meaning and the insult, by those using the term.
These people in washington, are so busy with trying to screw us over, that they have no idea whats going on in the real world, nor do they understand or keep up with american slang or new words or terms. If they were smart, they would shut up..or look up new words/terms before they follow someone elses lead and use them.
Why isn't he excoriated in the press and made to apologize?
email Beck, Hannity,O'R etc
Wouldn’t surprise if Schumer has, shall we say, “intimate” knowledge of what “tea-bagging” is.
If the Senator possessed those qualities he would not be a Liberal Democrat.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Schumer has, shall we say, “intimate” knowledge of what “tea-bagging” is.
Libs, in general, know this, and think it's funny, because they at heart are just a bunch of pre-adolescents giggling over their own cleverness.
I’m sure Chucky Spooner is a teabagger.
Oh great - nightmares for a month.
He may be a talking head, but there is nothing between his two ears.
I’m sure he’s tasted a penis!
I think we should tell all the idiots in the media and politics that when they say “tea baggers” they are insulting the original tea party people including Paul Revere and others in the Boston chapter of the Sons of Liberty.
The instant the tb term is utilized, you know upon which side the writer stands. i.e. commenters etc..
There is one message that needs to be directed at certain politicians and only one way for it to be delivered.
But I am not going to advocate it.
