My wife got a ticket last year for failure to heed a traffic device. It was 10:45 on a weeknight, she was making a right turn, and the officer said she didn’t come to a full stop behind the line.

Since nobody else was around, she didn’t think to argue and figured she’d just get a warning—being ridiculous and all—nope...got a $90 ticket. Since it was the County Sheriff and their office is almost an hour away, we just decided to write the ticket. I put “Legalized Extortion #XXXXXX” on the check’s memo line.
