My brother in law works for Dow Corning and they have been experimenting with Canola oil or Rape seed oil, they are both the same thing, it works. The problems they have is the oil in the winter gets real thick, but, with ethanol added it might not. You might want to check it out.

I'm getting this second hand from my hubby and he's not here right now, but, I could have sworn they said it work without any type of conversion as long as the oil was clean.

Just to let you know, I use to work on cars with my dad and also at times repaired my own cars. I haven't done this in years because I don't have to, but, I'm not a complete dits when it comes to cars :)
