Coakley:there are no terrorists left in Afghanistan(Gee,who killed the 7 CIA Agents then, Martha?)
weekly standard ^ | 1/12/10 | John McCormack

On Monday night, Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown sparred for an hour over health care, taxes, terrorism, abortion, and the death penalty. In what was the campaign's final debate and the only one broadcast live in Massachusetts' largest media market, Coakley committed at least one serious gaffe when she said there are no terrorists left in Afghanistan because they've all gone to Yemen or Pakistan. Barack Obama would beg to disagree.

On health care, Brown continued to hammer the congressional Democrats' Medicare cuts and tax hikes—an especially bad deal, he said, for a state that already has a health care plan. In a play for Reagan Democrats, Brown emphasized that the bill is going to tax the health care plans "for good union members who have fought so hard through good-faith bargaining to get those plans." Coakley shot back, alleging that Brown would allow insurance companies to deny coverage for mammograms (Brown had supported reducing the number of mandates to reduce health care costs, though he insisted during the debate that mammograms would be covered under a basic plan).

First no in Iraq, now no in Afghanistan.

I guess the libs who want only peace and do not recognize war as ever being a neccesity, have the strategy that if you just keep moving it from country to country, it will finally just go away.

Message to libs: There are bad people on this planet. War is sometimes necessary.

Martha can go down with Gerald Ford, who said in a debate against Carter that the countries of Eastern Europe were not dominated by the Soviet Union.

This ought to be treated like Gerald Ford’s statement that
“there is no Soviet domination of eastern Europe”.

Not surprising, considering Coakley is the prosecutor who railroaded the Amiraults, hiring shrinks to press children to make up bizarre stories of sex abuse. She makes up monsters at home for personal political benefit, while ignoring monsters abroad. She is certifiable - they ought to lock her up and throw away the key.

I heard her say this and waited for Brown to pounce, but nothing.

Missed opportunity.

Put it in an ad and blast the airwaves with it.

So how does this play in the liberal state. Will Brown gain votes if he emphasized MA will be less safe if they vote for her because their Senator would believe there are no terrorists in Afghanistan..and will vote on bills with that belief in mind???

And good will our intelligence be if she votes that the CIA is not needed in Afghanistan....

To be perfectly fair, we ourselves imported the CIA bomber.

Coakley:there are no terrorists left in Afghanistan.

Fortunately for Coakley, and unfortunately for the USA, there is no shortage of clueless or outright malevolent people in the People’s Democratic Republic of Massachusetts.

Actually, I believe that Coakley’s remark required no response from Scott Brown. The Coakley statement stands alone as a massive negative for Ms. Coakley. Objectively, Ms. Coakley is far from the sharpest knife in the drawer. Worse she, and ilk like her put the American people in harm’s way with their lack or possible belief that Muslim terrorists want to kill Americans and destroy our country. Of, course POTUS Barack Hussein Obama, in his failed presidency is doing his utmost to destroy the economic structure and strength of the USA, and is letting his Muslim cronies do the dirty work, in their now sustained, unchecked terrorist activities both domestically and abroad!!! The voters in MA , I believe, really do not understand the importance and critcal depth of this Coakley/Brown Senate race coming up next week. A Brown win, a “Game Changer” strikes a massive blow for freedom and individual liberty, which the Obama administration and the Democrat Party are trying so hard to destroy!!! Voters of MA, of all political stripes, you must realize the opportunity put forth to you to save our union and, probably, our country along with it. Wake up, and vote for Scott Brown and end this fatal insane circus in Washington led by the totally incompetent POTUS Barack Hussein Obama!!!

Does she not think there is Al Queda in that region or the Taleban who are their allies? In MA not worth making that distinction. Hammer the spending and taxes.

Pray for America’s Freedom

Coakley also was the prosecutor in the Nanny case.

The poor Amiraults. If it weren’t for Dorothy Rabinowitz’s articles in the Wall St. Journal they’d still be in jail today.

After watching the debate, I now have this teeny tiny little notion that Brown might actually win.

Still we are dealing with a state filled with cultists remember.

There are a bunch of liberals in MA who are starting to wake up. If you read the comments at the Boston Globe website (the Globe is a very liberal rag owned by the NYT) you’ll see that the people of MA are angry at the arrogance of their elected officials. You’ll even see some anti-Kennedy comments there too. Gasp!

Yeah, we can't have college-age male nonsmokers being legally allowed to have a health insurance plan without mammogram coverage, can we?

I posted this on another thread, but it bears repeating:

Today marked a dramatic shift in MA politics. In a landmark switch from Democrat to Republican, my 87 year old mother-in-law asked if i would drive her to the polls on Tuesday to cast her vote for Scott Brown.

Her first vote was for Franklin Roosevelt’s fourth term in 1944. She met John Kennedy when he toured the Westinghouse factory during his run for the Senate in the mid fifties. With the exception of this past Presidential election (she sat it out—didn’t like either of them) she has voted straight line democrat.

This switch is based on the fact that “They are all full of crap” and we need to “get rid of all of them.”

We are proud of our Nonni. It just proves that it is never too late for redemption.
