Which means that this seat is now a slam dunk for the Republicans.

Hoeven should win easily. It’s been a long time since we had a Republican senator. Happy days!

Moreover, the House seat stands a far better chance of changing hands to the Republicans as well. We have just 1 rep here in ND, the dependably liberal Earl Pomeroy, who does what he is told by Nancy Pelosi. He always campaigns as some kind of a conservative and sadly North Dakotans fall for it. Not this time.

Well, this is good news. I’ve been expecting this, since I suspect that Dorgan would have held on if he didn’t know for sure that Hoeven would run.

Hoeven would have trounced Dorgan by more than 30-40% thats why Lord Byron is resigning.

Pomeroy is dead meat too and Conrad will be later. The purge of the Rats and political cleansing of America has begun.

If I had to guess, it will be Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem. I know he is being encouraged to seek the office. He should win easily as well.

I know Jack personally from a previous life. Nice fellow, nice family. Not a great communicator though. He always acts like he wants to keep one foot in the conservative camp and one foot in the RINO camp.
His Cass County roots already connect him to the RINO camp in the eyes of too many conservatives.

Here’s to hoping. Pomeroy is a weasel.
