Tight Massachusetts U.S. Senate race has national implications

In the election to fill Ted Kennedy's empty US Senate seat, the fate of Barack Obama's agenda in Congress will be decided in Massachusetts on January 19, as the possible 41st Republican could be elected to the US Senate, which would allow Democratic legislation to be blocked via filibuster.

This is essentially the difference between America taking one road or the other -- between a further government takeover of society and the economy, or restraint from that. It's that important. And that message is starting to resonate even in Massachusetts.

And polls show that Republican Scott Brown is closing in on Democrat Martha Coakley. The latest polls show that Brown is within 9 points overall, and is leading by an astonishing 65-21 among Independent voters.

But it's been painful to watch. Brown is picking up steam despite the indolence of the Republican Party. In a bizarre move, the national Republican Party has basically conceded the race (something the Democrats would NEVER do in a similar situation) and the national party is not aggressively helping Brown with funding or organization. He's virtually being left on his own.

Has Steele been queried about the National Party’s failure to support this candidate?

RINOS have won there before and Croakley is a horrible candidate. Maybe..just Maybe. It would be the shot heard round the Congress. Donks would be jumping out of windows and MSNBC Pundits would have caniption fits on the air live.

A tactic to be used by the RATs if Brown wins. Scott Brown swearing-in would be stalled to pass health-care reform

If it were to happen that would precisely be the spin. It'd be sweet irony if Kennedy's former seat would provide the final vote to block the health care takeover.

Hawking his book and trying to save his job.

He actually thinks that he is a Conservative.

I thought so too, until he took over as RNC Chair and opened his mouth.

Reagarding Margery Eagan's column:"All's Weld that Ends Weld"....

Don't be fooled by Margery Eagan about Scott Brown.

Margery Eagan-a loony-liberal,pro-abortion,pro-gay "marriage" columnist at the Boston Herald has a column in yesterday's paper trying to paint Republican candidate for the US senate Scott Brown as "moving left".

http://bostonherald.com/news/columnists/view.bg?articleid=1223754&srvc=next_article

Well, take a look at a column of hers from May,2004 -as she raves about a gay "marriage".(Eagan was apparently a guest of the two "grooms".) Does this sound like someone that conservatives should be listening to?

Finneran-Lang-Eagan Axis of Evil: From Eagan’s column,”Same-Sex Marriage: Ordinary ceremony turns unique” (Boston Herald, 5-18-04). ... Five minutes after Alexander Westerhoff and Thomas Lang, in tails and tux, walked down a white-carpeted aisle here last night, their wedding became not about same-sex or any sex, but about two people promising their lives to each other.

In many respects this wedding is “like any wedding,” said officiating minister the Rev. Peter J. Gomes of Harvard University . “Preservice jitters . . . anxiety . . . confusion,” he said. “And so we celebrate the ordinariness of the occasion.”

But Gomes also said there’s “something quite unique and special” happening in this small chapel.

You expected Gomes then to speak of history: Yesterday, for the first time, homosexual couples could wed in Massachusetts . Before yesterday this union would have been illegal. Instead, Gomes referred to the two men before him as “unique” in their love. Men who put “16 years’ worth of thought and care and consideration” into getting married.

And so it was in many ways a traditional marriage. Each pew a garland of baby roses. Best man Alex Filias handing over the rings. Traditional vows: “I give you this ring as a symbol of my promise,” said Westerhoff. “All that I am is yours, as long as we both shall live,” said Lang.

Here’s what was different: As the couples joined hands, Gomes pronounced them, not man and wife, but “partners for life” and “truly married in the sight of God and man.” Lang and Westerhoff kissed twice - very quickly - then they received a proclamation of congratulations from the Massachusetts House of Representatives, signed by Speaker Thomas Finneran, who has long opposed gay marriage. It read: “What the SJC has granted, let no vote put asunder.”

... last night in Manchester-by-the-Sea, about 100 guests - men in black ties and women in bejeweled gowns - celebrated their marriage with them. Singers from the Boston Lyric Opera sang arias by Puccini and Lehar. Lang and Westerhoff marched out of the church to a gospel rendition of “Oh, Happy Day,” sung by the red-robed Majestic Ensemble. Westerhoff was occasionally in tears as the wedding party adjourned to the massive home the couple just built together.

Missing from the party, however, was Alex’s mother, who disowned him, the couple said, after their Vermont civil union....

Why wont a Third Party entity run ads that "challenge" the people of Mass. with a referendum on this health care cr@p?

If you elect Coakley you get govt. health care!

If you elect Brown you get a fighting chance!

The ball is in your court, Mass!

The results lay firmly in your lap!

We will not forget the choice you make!

Or something like that?

To the Patriots in Massachusetts.

Take a page from the IRANIAN PEOPLE.!!!!!. YES THE IRANIAN PEOPLE.

They were able to mobilize the masses by using twitter. They posted sites and meeting places by using this medium and successfully mounted a movement that up until today resonates in their country.

Use this technology to inform on the precincts that have abnormalities such as, low turnout, intimidation by ACORN, and irregularities in absentee ballots. Send patriots to counter peacefully these abnormalities. Those actions should make this election more characteristic of the people’s wishes.

The Kennedy Machine, ACORN, and the mechanism they have in place, are design to cheat us of our vote. Only SHEAR NUMBERS will tilt the democratic process in your favor.

Use twitter to report on low turnout in the precincts, call the voters that are unable to go to the polls and facilitate the means to get there. Be vigilant of intimidation and reported. If you use this technology right, you will prevail and give the people of Massachusetts a chance to make history.

Go Patriots.

I would love to see Brown win but I have zero faith that the election will be fair. We have already seen the ACORN and SEIU act by the Democreeps and they will pull out all stops to win there. Sorry, no election is going to change the direction this country is headed.

Even if Brown should lose, if he comes close it will sound alarms throughout the democrat party. If they can’t win this seat in the solid blue state in a cake walk they are in trouble and will finally know it.
