Forget about no-fly lists, full-body scanners and air marshals. All the loud recriminations about who should have done what to stop the underwear bomber from boarding a plane to Detroit on Christmas Day miss a more fundamental point: Young, single, rootless foreign Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab should never, ever have received a temporary visa into our country in the first place.
No visa, no plane ticket. No ticket, no passage to airline jihad.

Michelle is being hypercritical. His father is one of the richest men in Nigeria, he was not “textbook itinerant” when the visa granted.
I think Michelle is great, but she has lost some of her luster with this article.
University presidents just love to have foreign students. They insist it enhances their prestige. Even state universities deny residents a place at the university to make room for foreigners.
We pay the taxes and they decide that illegal immigrants and foreign students on visas get priority.

Since Malkin mentions the visa issue date in the article, it's weird that she blames Clinton for the original issuance of the visa. Malkin's journalism is usually a little more disciplined.
Because the Obama admin would rather see dead Americans than risk offending any third world jihadist.
Looks like Malkin should take a bit of time off from the Tea Party appearance and autograph signing circuit to devote some more attention to her craft.
Not the first time she’s failed to impress - I’d put her in the same column as “repeat a catchphrase 100 times without analysis or insight” Hannity in the rush to punditry camp.
I do not understand why Hillary’s State Department is not on the top of the list of who screwed up.
The State Department is in charge of the Embassies and the State Department issues and revokes visas.
The State Department did not need advice and consent from anybody else to stop the Muslim panty-bomber from getting on the plane.
I HIGHLY suggest these being made, and just in time for when the summer season comes, for the summer travel period (if we have not already been attacked big time by that time). The top in Arabic, the bottom in English.
