I don’t see how the D’s get rid of Nancy as Speaker if they maintain the majority. OR how she would step aside. It’s not in her nature. Complicating that is that Steny Hoyer would replace her, and their personal animosity goes back to their college days. She won’t have it. The obvious solition is to make them the minority party !

Making them the minority for a long time would be my preference. However, internal party pressure works in strange ways. Just ask Newt or Delay. Nancy has a lot of enemies, Hoyer and Harmon among them. I would expect the long knives to come out if it starts looking really bad for the Dems in the late summer polls.
