An act of injustice. This really ticks me off. Michael Yon, who I follow regularly as he travels with embedded troops around the world as they fight insurgents, Taliban, al-Qaida and other terrorists was handcuffed and detained by TSA security at SeaTac earlier today when he was returning from overseas. Update: Yon did not say that TSA handcuffed him I made that assumption. My guess is that it was Customs or Immigration when he was re-entering the USA. I just updated my post headline accordingly. Get this. They wanted to know what his annual income was, and since he elected not to tell them, he was handcuffed and detained at the airport. From Yons Facebook page posted about two hours ago.

Or just good profiling maybe they don’t know him from Adam and he refused to answer questions good work.
He refused to tell them how much money he makes.
That’s a frigging ridiculous question for anyone outside of the IRS to ask.
It’s none of ICE’s business how much money any American citizen earns.
It was thug work, not `good work`. Customs is supposed to ask how much money are you bringing in. Like a declaration. Not ask about his income. The TSA/customs/ or whoever decided to order the use of the handcuffs has to be fired.
Not. What does your gross (or net, for that matter) income have to do with suspicion of terrorist activity?? It's an inappropriate question when asked by any gov't official other than the IRS and the SSA (Internal Revenue Service and Social Security Administration).
I want to hear the rest of the story. I’ve cleared US customs and immigration many times and have never been asked that question.
Right, because annual income is a heavy predictor of terrorist intentions. Sheesh.
I absolutely have to plug Yon’s “Danger Close”. Too bad this autobiography didn’t get more attention- it should have been a film.
This sucks because Michael is one of the best bloggers on the great work our soldiers and Marines have been doing in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Would the “wrong” answer be used as a possible charge for not answering a Federal law officer with a truthful answer? Wow.... this is a loose cannon.
I'm sure when Achmed comes through, looking like the Michelin Man in a bathrobe, he makes up a number and they wave him right through.
Typical bored government employees out for a laugh under the guise that “It is for your safety comrade.”
No surprise here sports fans. We got what we (not me) voted for.
The goons responsible for this outrage should have a simple answer, next time someone asks about their annual income....”ZERO! Cuz I’m unemployed!”
If he’d paid for a one-way ticket in cash and was screaming “All Is Fubar”, the TSA would have given him a pass.
Too bad the histories of all the known prior attackers don’t support your theory. Yon has both press credentials and a US passport as a natural born citizen and is former special forces.
It wasn’t a valid question, it was a nosy parker abusing his authority to satisfy personal curiosity.
BTW, you should read his reports and check out his photography. He is setting the standards for new journalists (as opposed to lamestream dinosaur media).
I’ve noticed an increase in thugs posting on here lately. You are one. Obamabots preparing us for our futures?
so I’m a thug? whatevery... When you come up with a argument insead of libtard name calling post back to me.
