Two observations arise from this:

1) The police should not form a barrier between the protestors and the supporters. Both parties should feel accountable to each other for their own behavior, and if one party needs to have some Good Manners knocked into them, so be it.

2) Judge Carolyn Mellanby ought not to have reached a “compromise” with these thugs. Where did she get her Judicial Appointment from — a cereal box? She ought to have instead ruled “either you rise respectfully when I enter my court room, OR ELSE!” and made it stick. Nothing and nobody is superior to British Law in a British Court Room. Not even Allah.

I would have no objections to this.  One of many excellent quotes from Ann Coulter (made after a Leftist thug at one of her speaking engagements attempted to assault her) went along the lines of "If the Left wants a street fight, so be it.  We (the Right) have the men and we have the guns".  Sadly the men of the UK aren't able to have guns in quite the same way that we are able here in the USA, but there are still enough normal, healthy men in the UK to give the Islamofascists something to think about if it ever came to the point of a physical confrontation.

2) Judge Carolyn Mellanby ought not to have reached a “compromise” with these thugs. Where did she get her Judicial Appointment from — a cereal box? I was saddened to note that this 'compromise' was not reported in most 'news' sources covering this trial, and so the full depth of the problem is not presented to many people.  Thankfully the internet gives at least an opportunity to learn the truth if one is willing to dig for it.  It's yet another illustration that the Islamists have only one allegiance, and everyone else is regarded as an enemy.
