White House Spokeswoman Says Different Bertha Lewis on Visitor’s Log

Maybe it was "Big" Bertha Lewis. A White House Staffer tried to check with Desirée Rogers, the White House social secretary, but was unable to interrupt her conversation with Mahatma Gandhi.

It was "Big" Bertha! The human cannonball gun. The staff thought it was part of the circus entertainment to go along with the Ringling Brothers Tent!

Oops. My bad! I thought this was about the other case of White House mistaken identity. “Big” Bertha was not at the State Dinner Circus, but did show up tying to pass for Bertha Lewis, the ACORN CEO., and set off a metal detector!

You point up an interesting issue which, to me, is as damning of this administration as anything else in their never-ending parade of damning antics. By playing coy with the identity of their Bertha Lewis and citing “privacy” concerns as cover for their little games, the White House is subjecting hundred(s) of innocent, unrelated Berthas to invasion of THEIR privacy by millions of bloggers, forum members, etc., who have basically been invited by the WH to play a game of “Guess Which Bertha?”

Since the name Bertha has been out of favor for almost a century, it’s likely that most of these Berthas are just wanting to live out the end of their days with dignity and privacy. Fat chance. The WH has declared open season to rummage through their lives. Private citizens, thrown to the wolves to be picked apart because the amoral children in this WH want to play games.

Aside from the obvious illogic of releasing a visitors’ list for purposes of transparency while at the same time refusing to be transparent about who, exactly, that visitor is, the WH’s behavior in this is despicable and malicious.
