Terrorists want to attack US interests at sea

Al Qaeda will soon return to attacking America interests at sea, a prominent contributor on a jihadist forum posted Monday.

The message, from a writer called Abu Raghd on the Al-Falluja forum, says that the terrorist organization will take up the policy of “a blow for a blow and a raid for a raid” against the U.S., according to a translation from the Washington D.C.-based Middle East Media Research Institute.

Less than two weeks after a botched Christmas Day attack on an American airliner by a Nigerian-born militant, Abu Raghd threatened future strikes “on an extravagant scale.”

Until and unless we go after the terrorists, their families (mom dad, sister, brother, wife husband, kids and dogs and cats) these murderers will continue.
These killers understand that if they act their entire family will be wiped out and they may just think twice.

I would think AQ will set up bases in the Caribbean and develop plans to perform a series of raids against cruise ships based in Florida. These raids need not be successful at attempts to board or capture but to instill fear upon Americans and the travel agency.

Cruise ships are BIG business right now, and security is not as stringent as at the airports, plus ships are bigger targets.

there may be a positive aspect in Transatlantic travel, oceanliners may make a comeback as a safer means of travel if they do screen ahead of time, I would go by ship if it was more affordable, at least then on a ship you have fighting room.

Can’t the NY Post get the spelling right? It’s Abu Raghead, not Raghd!

I hope our Navy leadership remembers the USS Cole and takes this as seriously as they will take the diversity training that comes down from SecNav's office.

No, we must do something that the jihadis fear FAR more, we should put their wives and children into shelters because of the abusive and exploitive environment that they have been in. An Islamic fundamentalist is abusive towards his wives and children by definition.

In the shelter, kind and well trained therapists can help the poor women and children learn modern concepts such as religious tolerance, critical thinking, questioning authority, freedom, and how to express their sexuality. They can be exposed to TV, movies, books, other cultures.

The jihadis would rather see their children killed than see them free of their oppressive religion and thought control.
