Yes — that’s already happening. The oceans are removing much more CO2 from the atmosphere than predicted. That would appear to be a good thing — which simply won’t do. Therefore, it’s now necessary to wring hands about acidification — even though there’s scant evidence it’s happening & even less evidence that it’s actually harmful.
