I hate to say it but they will have to tolerate it since they dont own any firearms and they are being outnumbered, and to think, I wanted to live in England. :(

Weapons can always be made.

And I wouldn’t count out the English just yet. They’re polite until the instant that they’ve had it and they @#$! kill you.

Back during The War, the Sten (or Bren - I can never remember) gun was designed to be manufactured in home machine shops in case of German invasion. How many copies of the plans d'you think are still kicking around in attics? Also, everyone I know whose Dad served from America, those dads kept their sidearms. They were supposed to turn them in, BUT...I wonder if the British post-war collection was any more efficient than ours. I wouldn't bet a nickel that guns couldn't be found in a pinch.

Never can tell what will happen when crowds form:

“On March 19 ( 1988) two armed British soldiers in civilian clothes were pulled from their car near an IRA funeral and were severely beaten and then shot to death. British authorities said the two men were on their way to an assignment outside Belfast and came upon the funeral by chance. When the men realized their dangerous predicament, they tried to escape by driving directly into the funeral cortege. (source: The Britannica Archive)”
