I doubt a fire suppression system would have even worked after a JET crashing through the building severed most if not all the pipes.

What can be looked at is the lack of asbestos use above the 65th floor (believe it was 65) due to "environmentalism". Steel girders were not guarded against that extreme heat. How many folks died because of THAT?

You also have a point but we’ll never know, will we? The asbestos issue has been reviewed while haven’t heard a word about the lack of fire suppression equipment.

What I’m getting at is the NY/NJ Port authority properties have various sweetheart arrangements by which they can get around building codes.
