Of course, but at the same time, there are no doubt severe miscarriages of justice taking place every day in the country.

I know a child who was placed in the home of her biological father, who prior bring his request for custody to the court, had hardly ever exercised his visitation. The child was then molested by her stepbrother, stepbrother admitted it to police, and the judge placed her back in that home just the same. He order that she not be left alone with stepbrother, but she was still left alone with him on numerous occasions.

That’s just one.

Okay, but when the FBI catches up with Ms. Miller, her claim to custody will be complicated as she will end up in jail.

And those who are aiding her will find themselves in some legal trouble.

“She is the biological mother. She has raised her from day one.”

“The other woman has no familial ties to the child whatsoever.”

That is not the way the the courts have viewed this case and having a criminal conviction is not going help Ms. Miller’s case.

Yeah but if she was your sister you would tell her to run like the wind with her child. I’m amazed that her lesbian “partner” got her day in court. The idiot judge needs to be investigated

If I’m this woman I’m thinking about fleeing US jurisdiction because the mother-child relationship always comes first before what any any black robed jackass has to say

Yeah. Courts are never wrong.

And the “criminal conviction,” if it comes, will not read “armed robbery” or “possession of a controlled substance.” It will be because she loves and cares for her child.

This child has no idea who the other woman is. To forcibly remove her from her mother’s (her MOTHER’S) home and force her to live with this stranger is a nightmare. It is child abuse.

She is in violation of a court order from a state that was willing to issue her a marriage license. No one forced her to “get married” and no one forced her to have a child. Now she wants to say that she doesn’t have to follow the rules of that the state and its judiciary.

This makes the fifth time this story has been posted. Not griping, but a search would find it.

Do you really think the FBI will work very hard at finding her? Come now. She's the child's mother, and hasn't harmed her child nor is she accused of doing so. They're kind of busy dealing with dangerous criminals. And as you may have noticed, prosecutors in many areas are very busy also, and dockets overloaded. Sheltering a homeless woman and child is not going to get anyone to the front of that line.

In the state of VT where gay marriage is considered legal the “spouse” has rights. This isn’t judicial tyranny. She was willing to partake in the benefits that this state was willing to offer her now she gets to deal with the aftermath of her choices.

It’s funny how that never seems to apply to my concealed permit.

The joke of course being that you need a permit to exercise a God-given right.

Yep, and God bless her. She finally realized that the law were twisted and wrong and therefore freed herself from them. May she continue to live freely with her child.

Depends on where you live but most judges are politically appointed hacks.....Connected lawyers who want to put in 10 years to get a Gov’t pension.

Places I’m familiar with you have to bribe the right people via campaign donations (outright cash payoffs in ye old days and even now) to get a judge appointment. Think 5-10 thousand dollars

Even brothels have rules, doesn't mean you have to stay there and keep them.

Besides, there is a child involved. The child's welfare is more important than abiding by immoral "rules."

The lesbian "spouse"?
Who did not bear the child should get the child?
The real mother is the one who went through pregnancy and her lesbian partner/spouse is a minor player
Yet the judge said the child should be with the non-child bearing partner?

Seems like perverted justice to me.
Tell me where I am wrong

I think Jenkins was allowed to adopt the girl. That’s where the problem lies.

Just for the record, I am in full support of the bio-mom and if asked, would have gladly helped her go into hiding. The fact that there was some sort of adoption does not outweigh the perversion of homosexual relationships.
