AP Sources: CIA Base Chief Killed In Attack
By PAMELA HESS and ADAM GOLDMAN, Associated Press WASHINGTON – The CIA said Thursday that seven of its employees were killed and six others wounded in a suicide bombing at a base in Afghanistan. The Associated Press has learned that one of them was the chief of the CIA's post in Afghanistan's southeastern Khost Province.
CIA Director Leon Panetta said in a message to agency staff that the casualties sustained in Wednesday's strike at Forward Operating Base Chapman were the result of a terrorist attack. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Initial reports indicated that eight American civilians had been killed. There was no explanation for the discrepancy in Panetta's message, which was released by the CIA in an unusual step a day after one of the deadliest attacks on the agency in its history.
"Those who fell yesterday were far from home and close to the enemy, doing the hard work that must be done to protect our country from terrorism," Panetta said. "We owe them our deepest gratitude, and we pledge to them and their families that we will never cease fighting for the cause to which they dedicated their lives — a safer America."
"Yesterday's tragedy reminds us that the men and women of the CIA put their lives at risk every day to protect this nation," he said. "Throughout our history, the reality is that those who make a real difference often face real danger."

These deaths lay on Obama’s shoulders squarely. His indecisiveness in sending more troops gave the enemy that much more time for strategy, weapon buildup and amassing jihadis for their cause.

Obama and Eric Holder have been at war with the CIA ever since Obama entered office. That war appears to me to be heating up in connection with who was responsible for not stopping the Diaper Bomber. There’s a big blame game going on there, which is one reason why in some ways it is more in the news than the much bigger terrorist incident at Fort Hood.
Now some top CIA people appear to have been killed in Afghanistan, presumably because of Obama’s broken rules of engagement and faulty approach to that war.
I hate to say it, but something good might come out of this, just as something good came out of 9/11, at least until the leftists managed to slow Bush down and push him off course.
We have just sent off 1,200 National Guard troops to Afghanistan from my home state of Vermont. Some of them are family friends and neighbors. I hesitate to say what I think, that they are going into extra danger because Obama is on the other side. Most Vermonters still don’t think that way. But something has got to break, if we are to get this country back on course.
I pray for all of our people in harm’s way. And I pray for our country. May it all somehow work out for the good.

Other day we got a tape recording of Obama speaking on the Detroit bombing.
Today we get a letter, not audio, not video, of Obama expressing regret over the CIA deaths.
