CALLER: Longtime listener. Listen, I think even though I'd love to talk to you, I want to talk to small business in this country. I think small business could stop this health care dead in its tracks. All we have to do as small business for a short term pain for a long term gain is just shed your payrolls down 50%. Let's overrun the unemployment offices to where they cannot deal with this crisis and let them know that we as small businesses in this country are the ones in charge and without our money they can't do any of this. We are the ones that allow them to do to us what they are doing. If we quit sending our money to these people, they cannot implement these programs. They work for us. We do not work for them. I'm tired. I've run a company for almost 30 years. I'm in the housing market and I manufacture window products. And I can tell you this. I know that everybody this time is hurting, but you know what? For about two weeks we could bring Washington to their knees.
RUSH: Okay, Snerdley, Dawn, Brian, you're fired. Do not come back. You are going on the unemployment line next year. We're going to flood -- (laughing) well this is what it's going to take. Would you do it? If you were an employee would you accept being fired on this principle?
CALLER: Yes. I'm looking at my family and what's going to affect me the next 30 years of my life. What if you don't take a stand for two or three weeks to what's going to affect you for the next 30 years...

Hell, I think most of IBM’s employees are offshore now anyway.
But if you own a restaurant? A few dry cleaner establishments? Some gas stations? Send the workers home and shutter your businesses.

Yes I think that it should be Lay a Democrat off campaign. They seem to like getting something for nothing and this would only be fitting.
Maybe 4 day work weeks like back in the 70’s during the “GAS SHORTAGE”.

It is impossible to organize a large enough number of people for the “Go Galt” movement to make the changes suggested. However, circumstances are such that they don’t need to be organized. Entrepreneurs will lay off workers because they cannot afford to keep them. The right wing “Go Galt” movement has the same objective as the left wing Cloward–Piven strategy.
Tax revenues are way down and hyperinflation is on the way. A President McCain or even a President Palin would not defund the massive government we are oppressed by. Only a President Obama (Peace be upon him) will be able to manage this. He will do this by not bankrupting our children or grandchildren, but by bankrupting us. Senator Chuck Schumer has said, “And let me say this, to all of the chattering class, that so much focuses on those little, tiny — yes, porky — amendments: The American people really don’t care.” The American people will care. And they will be coming for people like Senator Schumer. When budget cuts hit UC Berkeley Chancellor Birgeneau’s home was attacked. He complained, “These are criminals, not activists.” He would have had no problem with them torching merchants, but this was his home. Therefore they were no longer activists but criminals. Entrepreneurs will not riot. However, the massive underclass, once they can no longer be funded, will. We are living in interesting times. Stock up on koolaid.
The 40 hour work week was instituted around the Depression to force the hiring of more workers. Why not use the same excuse for a 30 hour week?
Quite a stupid idea if you ask me, way to turn people against small biz and into the arms of FEDZILLA. A more effective approach would be for small business owners to organize together, then end withholdings and stop remitting taxes to the IRS.
It would take big brass ones, and coordination of many businesses and individuals, but a tax revolt is the only way to go. That monthly revenue stream being cutoff would bring DC to a halt quick. It might also bring retaliation, but many are expecting that anyways.
After the latest round of crap: INTERPOL Executive Order, the Clean Water Restoration Act (gives FEDS control of almost all water!), and of course the Health Care Bill, I have had it.
I am up for it, who’s next.
I have said, here and on many other sites, that stuff like this is what will defeat this crap.
In my case, as a Doctor and small business owner, I have said that I will fire all 35 of my employees AND refuse to accept the ‘government options’...ALL of them...medicaid, medicare and whatever else they come up with.
If a certain percentage of Doctors in the country would stand and state this, the impact would be enormous. For every Doctor practicing in this country, at least another 5 people per Doctor has a job that is directly impacted by this plan.
My current outlook on the situation is that the Feds are actually taking whatever money we give them, and they are actually being counter productive with it. In other words, it is worse then just throwing money down the toilet. They are using our money to make our situation worse. Take Global Warming for example. These idiots want to actually start programs designed to lower the temp of the planet. If the goal of the US Government is to lower the temp of this planet, on moral, humanistic and survival grounds alone, we should not give them one red cent.
When are the American people going to stop this kowtowing to these idiots in DC and say enough.
Turn cloward-priven back on ‘em.
What is happening right now is a massive growth in the Black Market. Probably already one of the largest Black Markets in World History. Assuming of course, that we have eclipsed the modern Chinese Black Market. That is the beauty of Freedom. It has the ability to run on auto pilot. When the Government Market once again becomes fairly legit, the Black Market companies will start to come up for some fresh air.
Yes, and they are using our taxpayer dollars to buy votes on bills that are counter to the majority of people, a la “the Louisiana Purchase” and “Omaha Stakes”.
Our government has been wasting our dollars for many years, but now our tax dollars to dismantle this country and it’s constitution.
We must now DEMAND that all legislation, standing and pending, be held to strict orientalist constitutional standards. If it don’t pass, it don’t pass. Chaos would ensue, as most of the Federal Government and it’s programs would be shut down. It’s the only way we can make good on our debts and keep our country solvent and our freedoms intact.
