I have a lot of friends working there....I dread seeing the names when they are released.
Deep prayers for their families and the survivors.

You're absolutely right - we should stop using oil today; that way the Saudis will have to deal with lower oil prices. We should ape the North Koreans - adapt our gas tanks to burn firewood and adjust to 10 mph cars. The benefit of lower oil revenues is that the Saudi monarchy will fall to bin Laden. When bin Laden takes over in Saudi Arabia, we can finally fight a war against all 1 billion Muslims that we've been hankering for - in the process of conquering the holy (to Islam) cities of Mecca and Medina.
I have a feeling we wont be hearing much bad news from Afghanistan (like we did about Iraq) because Afghanistan is "Obamas War"

Just for the record - Halliburton has been out of those operations for some time since they split from Kellogg, Brown and Root.
It could be them, Fluor, DynCorp or another lesser known entity.
Any way you look at it is tough place to be.

I know of two men specifically that work for an FFRDC...on assignment in Afghanistan...not sure exactly where...am anxious for them, their families....God please be with those with tremendous loss today.

A suicide bomber blew himself up Wednesday inside an Afghan military base used by the CIA, killing at least eight Americans in what is believed to be the deadliest single attack on U.S. intelligence personnel in the eight-year-long war, U.S. officials said.

I'll bet you it's the same way the VC got onto our bases back in 'Nam, local 'civilian contractors'.
Hmmm....they don't so readily give that sort of information about bases in Iraq...

When you finally decide that you are fighting a war - do it.
If it takes the whole nation to bear the costs then do it. Our heroes should not be the only ones suffering in this PC war with one hand tied behind their backs.
Drive the Saudis back to the desert. The funds will dry up and the enemy will be defeated more easily.
And yes at some point strategically dropped bomb on Mecca will help too. It has worked before you know. AND read some history. Wars are NOT WON in the way we are conducting them today.
