Napolitano Must Go — Now
PAjamas Media ^ | Dec. 29 | Dan Riehl

If Barack Obama wants to convince America he takes the “protect and defend” portion of his oath of office seriously, it’s well past time for Janet Napolitano to go.

Given the lowlights of Janet Napolitano’s brief — though perhaps too long — career at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), she appears to be a woman-caused disaster in the making for Obama. Recent statements by Napolitano on the Sunday news talk shows are at least the third strike for the secretary. One has to wonder how many strikes she’ll be given before her politics and focus, if not her actual incompetence, result in al-Qaeda successfully striking America at home....

"Napolitano Must Go — Now"

I don't agree. . . . We will get someone just as bad if not worse.

The one that needs to go will be there for another 3 years. . . . . . . . H. E. L. P.

Her job is to clear the way for as many illegal aliens to enter this country as possible. She’s doing a good job, I don’t see her being let go.

As far as keeping us (the citizens) safe...we are the enemies of their state.

Exactly what the incompetent slug did to AZ but on a national scale.

Other than wanting a Democrat lesbian as a Cabinet member, there was absolutely nothing, zero, in Napolitano’s past that would qualify her for the DHS position. As governor, she never did put together a statewide emergency plan, and any support for a border fence was based solely on political survival. Personally, I’d love to see her on a street corner selling pencils.

If she leaves, who should her replacement be? Sen. Tom Carper (of Delaware) might be good (for a Democrat). He’s a member of the Senate Homeland Security & Government Affairs Committee. He’s been a senator since 2001, and he was the governor, 1993-2001.

I have a Masters degree in security, several industry certifications in security, am a Veteran, and have actually held a job out in the real world recently.

Ergo, I could never get the job.

Actually not only she.
This Administration, unlike guys that traveled to the Emerald City, really has neither brain nor courage, not to mention heart.

Napolitano is probably about the best you can hope for from Obama.

Be careful what you wish for. It could be worse. And given the caliber of people he has in his administration, it would be.

If we were to replace Janet N, Joe Arpaio would be a good one. He is the no-nonsense sheriff from Phoenix Arizona and does not yield to pressure from the feds.

True. In fact, there are many former law enforcement and former military experts in homeland security who could do this job, and will never get consideration as they might not resonate with Mister Obama's political religion and ambition.

For the near future however, Ms. Napolitano might serve as a fantastic example of a ridiculous (and hopefully not tragically so) example of political imperative over national security for a few great campaign commercials in 2010 and 2012.

I would title such political commercials..."The System Works?".

Could be, if we have to have a Dem (and of course we do at this point).

PS Thank you for your service.

Yep, all these people ever do is REACT to what’s happened, never talking about serious threat situations and disasters until AFTER they happen, or of doing anything that might actually help us with national security.

Bill Clinton - an entire Presidency filled with Somalia, Kenya, North Korea, Saudi Arabia (Kobar Towers) USS COLE, Osama, Haiti, Sudan and Afghanistan cruise missile attacks in honor of Monica.

Richard Clarke - a total buffoon as “Threat Czar” under Bill Clinton who insisted on USS COLE visit Yemen despite objections by our Ambassador there. Biggest back peddler and blame shifter in the USA over 9/11 attack.

Jamie Gerlick - tearing down human intelligence abiliites (9/11).

Janet Reno - WACO (I’m totally responsible, but I won’t fire myself or resign).

Eric Holder - everything unraveling in 2009 (GITMO, CIA efforts, Ft Hood) and continuing due to his incompetence and outright racism.

Hillary Clinton - a clueless tourist going on non-functional vacations on Obama’s dime while being totally ignored by Obama and the WH czars who really report to him on SECSTATE matters.

Janet Napolitano - her days are numbered, but it will take another threat incicent before she’s canned.

Nancy Pelosi - in denial over everything, especially regarding her CIA back peddling and backstabbing, most self-absorbed person in DC — which is filled with the self-absorbed All Stars of the world.

Janet Napolitano, is nothing more than a media deflection. I worry about the Chicago mob that One has that replaced the deflections called the Czars. I still laugh at Hillary sitting in the Congo mad at High School students.

Her responses were so inept, it's as if she didn't even bother to rehearse the spin or have it certified by the focus group.

If she's so lazy about that, how's she doing on national security?

If Barack Obama wants to convince America

You can just stop right there.

The Kenyamerican doesn't need to convince anyone of anything any more.

He won.

You'll do as you're told, or be put on the No Fly list as a domestic right wing terrorist.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
