WASHINGTON: A Nigerian man was reportedly arrested by authorities at the Detroit airport from a North West airplane from Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon following complaints from fellow passengers that he became verbally disruptive and barricaded himself in the bathroom.

These incidents, coupled with the absence of men in Islamberg, NY is a bit troubling.
Do the two cities of Amsterdam and Detroit have anything else in common other than muslims or is there any rational reason why a non muslim might be on a direct flight between the two cities??
A plane with plenty of muslims on board means it’s easier for a muslim to pass unnoticed. And the terrorists might have found a weakness in making the connecting flight in Amsterdam. “Security” in Nigeria is a joke, but once you are “cleared” you are in like Flynn. You stay on the “cleared” side in connecting airports.

The latest reports indicate the man went into the lavatory for an extended period of time, which resulted in the call to authorities.
Apparently, the man was ill and probably had diarrhea.
They're both hubs for NWA/Delta.
You are briefly interviewed and must go through another magnetometer prior to boarding the flight to the U.S. I take this flight usually four times anually. We had every chance available to pull this guy aside and search him. Instead they let this terrorist on without a passport. Unbelievable, but apparently true.
Not when connecting to flights to the U.S., and I frequently go through Amsterdam. You get the security interview followed by the magnetometer/x-ray treatment.

Did he have a accomplice help him board. Strange you can board with out proper documents!
I’m not sure about the no-passport part of it, since he supposedly had a visa for the US, because he had lived in Houston for some time. So possibly he had a US visa but not the right travel documents from his own country, or there was some other problem and somebody decided that the US visa was sufficient; this might explain what that American couple reported seeing at the Amsterdam airport.
But he obviously got around security, if the procedures described by you are normally followed.
I’d suspect he had help on the inside in Amsterdam.
What’s the matter with this Nigerian?
No computer to use to email Americans telling them they’ve won the Pan-Nigerian-Lottery for Four Billion Dollars and all they have to do is send a Thousand dollars to cover the cost of the paperwork before the check can be mailed to them?
If a Nigerian cannot find work in the email scam business, that means that the entire World is in a Recession.
From what I've read he could easily have gone right through the magnetometer without trouble. Less sure about the interview, but there he might have had some inside help.
