Teaching America as 'hellhole' called 'brainstorming' (University screening of "wrong beliefs")
World Net Daily ^ | 12-26-09 | Bob Unruh

The proposal included the suggestion of examinations of teacher candidates on "white privilege" as well as "remedial re-education" for those who hold the "wrong" views. "Those with the 'wrong' views were to receive remedial re-education, be weeded out, or be denied admission altogether," the group said. "The first step toward 'cultural competence,' says the task group, is for future teachers to recognize – and confess – their own bigotry.

En zo, to graduate with a degree in Education at University of Minnesota you would first need to prove you were an obedient little Fascist Toady.

Alas, even after the blood purge of mid-December, many senior professors continue to embrace the concept.

Solution: Pull their charter. Fire everybody. Start again somewhere else.

You can’t write dystopian novels this good.

It's coming. Did you realize states are running out of money and only a handful of universities are able to hold the line against serious tuition increases.

This school ain't one of 'em.

Those younger profs looking for promotions can already see a way to the top I am sure.

Sounds like a rephrasing of Chairman Mao's description of criticism/self-criticism as a "marxist-leninist weapon."

I know that the Orwellian references to 1984 are probably overused, but if this does not qualify for “Big Brother,” what does? We are living in times when those in education and politics are no longer content in punishing people for “wrong” actions, but we are now punishing people for “wrong” beliefs. Who is it that decides what are “wrong” beliefs or “wrong” views? We now have *officially* sanctioned “thought police.” At what point will the majority of Americans say, “enough is enough”? What does it take to wake up this nation?

That’s a positive thing. Let’s ring in a new year of across the board salary/benefit cuts, the termination of defined benefit retirement plans and the elimination of positions and programs at State Universities. Let the defunding of the Left begin!

My son is filling out applications for graduate school in astrophysics. At least two schools want him to write a one-to-three-page essay on how he will contribute to the "diversity" of their graduate program.

Although his undergraduate years have almost converted him to the liberal persuasion, he really can't stomach this PC stuff.
