These terror attacks are a Merry Christmas present from the terrorists to Obama. Oh, wait, Barry is also a Muslim. Oooops, the terrorists got their holidays confused.

I can’t read it but here is the article...

Londra, 26 dic.

Obama will be notified of this..THREE HOURS after the fact. Imagine if Bush were still President and it took him three hours to be notified of an attempted terrorist attack..the left wing media would be all over him for it, but for Obama, nah he gets a pass. Let’s see, in the first year of Obama’s Presidency, Ft. Hood was attacked and now we got islamic jihadists trying to blow up planes..oh how nice..this is what happens when you have a leader who bows down to extremists and says that America is an arrogant country

Suspicious bags cause Detroit-bound plane to re-route

LONDON - A Lufthansa flight bound for Detroit has made an unscheduled stop in Iceland after suspicious bags were found onboard.

Fridthor Eydal, spokesman for Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport, says the incident is not believed to be connected to the attempted terrorist attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253.

He says the pilot stopped in Iceland on Saturday afternoon to have the luggage onboard checked, after he was notified that the passenger who owns the bags stayed behind in Germany.

Eydal says there was no danger to the passengers and the plane is now on its way to Detroit. The flight originated in Frankfurt.

I had to travel in an Arab country (before 9/11).

All checked baggage was on the ground at the foot of the stairway to the aircraft. You had to find yours and place it on a flatbed cart before boarding. If any bags remained they went nuts trying to find the owner, not sure what happened if no one could be found, never got that far on my trips. Seemed like a pretty good system altho’ it wouldn’t stop someone bent on suicide.

KSM’s Bojinka was never implemented- these terrorists never abandon a plan, they just retool and try again

the muslims were intending to blow up a dozen airliners overwater, simultaneously

just another tribute to allah

On 911 they missed the US Capitol, WH, CIA HQ, Sears tower and some other targets in the USA, too- they’ll be back

We lived in Turkey in the early 90s and it was the same way when you flew on Turkish airlines. Your luggage would be on the pavement and you would touch yours as you passed and they would then load it on the plane. The funny thing is the sleeves of your clothes would be hanging out of your suitcase where they had obviously rummaged through your stuff! It was kind of funny back then.

Goggle translation;

London, December 26 (AP) - A Lufthansa direct flight to Detroit landed at the airport Icelandic Rejkyavyk after it was detected on board some baggage suspects have reported the Icelandic authorities, stressing that there is no connection with the failed attack apparatus on board the Delta Airlines direct in the same U.S. airport. The commander of the apparatus of the German flag carrier has decided to make one unscheduled stop at Rejkyavik to check your luggage and then boarded a passenger remained in Germany; checks gave negative results and the unit is spread evenly at a time in Detroit.

I went through that drill in the late ‘80s when my flight to Paris was diverted to Amsterdam due to someone writing a threatening message on the restroom mirror. After the luggage was verified, everyone was interviewed before we were allowed to reboard.

Years ago, BEFORE 9/11/2001 — I was on my way home from across the country and was so tired I decided I wanted to wait for another 1.5 hours for a wide body plane so I could likely stretch out more. I’d been on earlier flights that day, too, so time in the airport was OK with me.

But...my bags were already on the flight I decided not to take and I planned to just pick them up later at the destination.

Interestingly, especially for that pre-9/11 time, the pilot for the first flight got off the plane and came into the boarding area and found me and said he just wanted to “meet the person who decided not to fly on his plane.” He was friendly, and I explained my situation and he was then fine with it.

But kudos to him for checking — even back then crews were suspicious of people sending luggage ahead and not taking the same flight. Imagine trying to do that now! No way, no how. Clearly in my case it was easy for him to see I was no danger — middle aged white woman with a bad back.
