Three hours to charge for 100 miles (at what speed?) would get you about the same rate of travel as what—driving a riding mower from gas station to gas station?
Like all other alternate power, generating capacity does not exist, even before Obama shuts down half of it. Also Joe the Plumber is not going to have enough left to afford a beamer for a SECOND CAR! Lovely as it was, the Baker electric wasn’t practical then and an electric BMW isn’t now.
