SILVERDALE, Wash. This is one 21st birthday to forget.
A 21-year-old man stationed at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor has been arrested after getting into multiple altercations on what one of his friends told law enforcement was the man's 21st birthday.
The man was kicked out of the Old Town Bistro early Saturday morning, the first in a series of events. The Kitsap Sun reports about 12:15 a.m. a witness said the man approached him and started a conversation. The man said he was in the Marines, while the witness replied he was in the Navy.
The suspect shook his hand then punched him in the face saying, "I ... hate the Navy."
Two security guards tried to subdue the suspect, but one was kicked in the groin. A Washington State Patrol trooper and Kitsap County Sheriff's deputy eventually got the man under control and transported him to U.S. Naval Base Police at Bangor
Familiar plot....
Wonder if he spent a lot of money that night, and could he find the brothel?
I find it hard to believe that a sailor would go get utterly destroyed on his 21st birthday.
/sarc
My son had a different experience on his 21st birthday in the Navy. He got married.
“The Last Detail”. Great movie.
No worries - the Admiral will get his bell-hop out of the clink real quick.
(Pity the Army wasn’t there - then they would have teamed up!)
A sailor kicked out of a bar? Probably the first time that's ever happened!
Is this guy a member of Congress? If not, he should be!
(..they’re spending money LIKE...?)
THE LAST DETAIL....GREAT MOVIE....
Bummer.
Found out he should not ever drink on the first day it was legal to do so.
The line from Bull Meecham’s coming-aboard speech to the squadron in “The Great Santini” comes to mind: The only time they’re on the same side is when we’re at war and when Army plays Navy.
Hold the phone...was the suspect a Marine or a Sailor?:

Is that Washington State-speak for Appleby's?
This is the most beautiful military base I have ever been to.
Hard to understand anyone being pissed off being stationed there
Old Town Bistro
Is that Washington State-speak for Appleby’s?
I think its Washington State speak for GAY.
Sailor gets hammered by Marine, who would have guessed? Semper Fi Marine
The sailor was spending his own money.
Sounds like what happened to a friend of mine. The Navy later made him a squadron commanding officer. So this kid’s career isn’t over yet.
