Why give your lib relative a copy...

One of my girls is being "educated" at the University of Oregon. Unfortunately she has been ingesting too much of the Kool-Aid. One of the things she has learned is to hate Sarah Palin. Supposedly based on the way she talks, she thinks she comes off as an "uneducated hillbilly".

So I say what's wrong with that? I AM an uneducated hillbilly and I'm not the least bit ashamed of that (you might even say I'm a redneck). An "education" if it's worth anything will prepare you for a job but knowing right and wrong, and appreciating the proper role of government is something everyone should well and truly know by sixth grade.

My girl knows nothing of Sarah Palin but what she has seen on Saturday Night Live.

She is getting the book. I don't even have it yet - I'll read it when she is done.

Ok, I get it. It won’t just make her hit the roof.

See, my cousin (conservative) is married to a liberal who WILL get ugly if you say anything.

Since family is more important than politics, we just avoid discussions.

It’s actually kind of nice.

Hell Gibson has played into the left’s hand...calling his book “Swiftboating” which he alludes is lying. That is the absolutely the wrong use of the word. The term “swiftboating” in regard to john kerry (I refuse to captialize traitors names) was nothing but the truth.

Swiftboating means that the truth has been exposed about liars!

Climate Change and Health Care

The two biggest stories going on right now are the Climate talks in Copenhagen and the push for government run healthcare. In Copenhagen they are getting tons of snow - maybe they should consider planning global warming meetings in the summer? Just sayin.' There was talk of a 'legally binding global contract' which isn't exactly encouraging progress. Obama gave his speech and still nothing has changed. STORY

And on the healthcare front, they are now promising a vote by Christmas Eve. Let's hope it doesn't happen. STORY
