You mean like Reagan?
Reagan was a great man but he was last elected CA Gov about 40 years ago. The state has changed. As Gov Reagan increased taxes and liberalized abortions. As President he befriended Tip O’Neil, busted the national debt, put Sandy O’Connor on the SCOTUS, and amnestied 3 million illegal immigrants. I’m not sure what your point is in bringing up Reagan who was willing to comprimise his views to represent both the state of CA and the nation. Perhaps you just don’t know Reagan’s record.
