Ah well, just wanted to make sure.
You can’t be too careful these days.

What we need is a Tea Party at the RNC Headquarters.
And then one at the DNC Headquarters.

"When people fear government you have tyranny. When the government fears the people you have freedom," Carpenter said. "We have a federal government that is, pardon my language, gang-raping the people." Carpenter nails it!

This whole thread is very difficult for me to follow, so I’ll just give it a TEA party bump!

I’m glad you said that about Crabill, I had a sneaking concern she may have been, shall we say, a bit too “eccentric” to be a publicly elected face for the GOP. She got fairly close (48%), however, to beating Del. Albert Pollard, Jr. (Pollard, of course, had been the prior Dem incumbent to Wittman) last month.

Some of the people who know her say she’s not such a nutcase. But she hasn’t retracted the Oklahoma statement (as far as I can tell).
And she got quite a bit of negative publicity with a statement during her campaign where she said that issues might have to be “settled at the bullet box, not the ballot box.” Her campaign claimed she was quoting Patrick Henry, but so far I’ve not seen a source for the link.
I don’t know her personally. But I know several people who followed the campaign, followed how she was nominated, etc.
A credible candidate with full party support could have won that district back.
