"Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment?" Palin wrote on her Facebook page. "Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation's only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change."

Greener Than Thou?

Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment? Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nations only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change. While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we cant primarily blame mans activities for those changes. And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didnt do was hamstring Alaskas job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act greener than thou when talking to reporters.

One thing will be remembered from this exchange: Sarah calling Arnold “greener than thou.” Sarah exposes the girlyman gov and wins hands down.
He's a dimwit who said out loud that California's finances are under control.
“While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we cant primarily blame mans activities for those changes”
Exactly. I guess “stoopid” Sarah is smarter than the myriad AGW advocates (and scientists) who blindly accept that man is the driving force behind current global warming.
The climate has always changed, and it always will.
I think he was making the assumption that just the topic of climate change submits to it being man-made. She knows better and her direction was to create a commission whose function was to attempt to determine not only the cause, but also identify what its effects could signal damaging the commerce and standard of living in the State. In other words, no matter what it is, how can we adpat and overcome its effects. I call that being procative instead of reactive.
She’s got great instincts.
He's not the first man to marry a beautiful nitwit, but many men have sense enough to ignore the brainless opinions and the mindless rants.
Of course, there are countless fascinating women who are intelligent; in fact it's a sine qua non.
(Who wants to be married to a nitwit in the first place. I've seen a few I wouldn't mind being married to for maybe half an hour or so, but beyond that any man with a functioning mind would be bored out of it. Maybe that's what happened to Schwarzenegger.)
Arnold is just plain stupid....color him BLUE or RED. He’s made a big fat mess out of his tour in Sacramento.
See 2nd paragraph. Sarah, like Newt, believes in the Hoax.
Sarah is very good at getting a MEMORABLE short sound bite quote - “greener than thou”, “death panels”, etc - the skillful art of communicating in today’s sound bite world.
Good grief is right. If you're going to be critical of someone and quote them at least have the intellectual honesty to quote them correctly:
"Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation's only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change." (My emphasis)
There is a big difference between your "first Governor" to her statement of "among the first governors" and between your "create a subcommittee" to her "create a sub-cabinet".
No one is asking you to like Governor Palin but to hide behind platitudes of "On my word I love Sarah but" in order to misrepresent her is pretty damn low.
Yes, and being exceptionally bright doesn't hurt either.
“He’s not the first man to marry a beautiful nitwit...”
I wouldn’t call ol’ wedge face a “beautiful” anything.
"The former Republican vice presidential nominee has questioned whether human activity contributes to climate change, and wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post last week blasting the cap and trade policy promoted by the Obama administration to limit emissions. She has also called on President Obama to boycott the Copenhagen conference."
The climate does change periodically. It has since the beginning of time. The hoax being perpetrated is that it’s caused by man.
NO, she does not believe in the HOAX. She said SAID SO straight up and straight out on many occasions, including this one!
