The elitists have always been more concerned for themselves than for other people, all the while claiming power, priviledge, and money because they claim that they care so much for "the children".

Don’t VT students have standing to sue the school for violating their constitutional rights to keep and bear firearms?

There’s only one way to get through to boneheads like these - affect their $$ flow. Pressure on Richmond should get the ball rolling.

The responsible VA Tech dirtbags should be charged with multible counts including being accessories to murder and prosecuted accordingly.

They should also be expecting some wrongful death civil suits coming their way.

The attitude of the VT administration have the same prevailing attitude as does the President and the current Senate and House. Gee, I wonder what party is significantly represented?

The murder of 32 students was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history until the Ft. Hood massacre last month

The Fort Hood death toll was 13, only about 1/3 the death toll at VT.

It is still my contention that all returning military personnel that go to school on GI Bill type funding should be required to undergo training and carry side arms at all times on the campus.

Our military is trained to make better split second responses than any police force and are better marksmen.

As a side note, if the men and women at Ft Hood had been armed, Nadal would not have made it as far as he did.

The rule should be that if you're going to take the weasely PC step of creating or maintaining a Self defense denial zone – aka “Gun-free” zone, than you will be RESPONSIBLE for protecting those you are putting at risk.

If you are going to deny a person's the right to defend themselves you should be LIABLE if you do not protect them.
If you are unwilling to take the responsibility and the liability of taking away a person's basic human right of Self-defense, then you had better not impose one of those idiotic “Gun-Free” zones.

“Some Virginia Tech officials warned their own families and the president’s office was locked down well before a campus-wide alert was issued in the 2007 slayings of 32 people,”

This is the security we’re supposed to defer to in giving up our right to bear arms? I sometimes carry in places I’m not supposed to, because it’s usually those places that present the most danger. Less than two weeks ago, four armed police officers were gunned down in a coffee shop in Washington state. I respect law enforcement but their ability to protect us is limited. We are each ultimately responsible for ourselves; organized law enforcement is essentially backup.

Smells like BS. Burruss Hall, where the bigwigs live, was locked down. No one was going anywhere. The gunman chained the doors shut on Norris Hall to keep people from getting in. I’m not sure what they expected Steger to do. He’s an engineering professor, not Hulk Hogan. By the time the police got in the building, it was over.

But if the gunman believed there was someone else in the building with a gun, it never would have happened. He even searched the floor looking for someone with a gun(like police) before he opened up.
