Copenhagen would be a nice venue to announce the withdrawal of the US from the UN and formally request they move their headquarters out of the US ASAP. I suggest southern Sudan, but they’re free to make their own choice...the sooner the better.

Since when can the UN levy taxes on the United States?

The EPA can levy "fees" on CO2 polluters, and then use these fees to make "grants" to UN agencies.

The report cites prominent legal scholars and U.S. Supreme Court opinions recognizing the President’s broad power to make binding international agreements that do not need to be ratified by a two-thirds majority vote in the Senate. For example, the President could enter into either a “congressional-executive” agreement under authority already granted by Congress, or a “sole executive” agreement based on his own constitutional powers.

Did you see this, Ernest?

COP15 Proposals – summary from AEP simulcast from Copenhagen earlier today
(Americans for Prosperity) http://www.americansforprosperity.org/national-site

COP15 Proposals:
- Western Economic Tax of 2% of GDP
- Removal of IP/Patent Rights for New Technologies in Clean Technology
- US Constitution is “only paper”, so “Copenhagen Treaty” as been renamed an “ Executive Agreement” so Obama can sign it shortly
- Words “worldwide government” have been dropped from the “Treaty”; but there are 700 new global gov entities created
- The “Treaty” contains extensive, significant details (currently not being reported) on establishment of worldwide government
- Extensive political agenda of the COP15 meeting is being largely unreported

UN plans on levying new taxes on US]

Here's what the US should do. Take the number of countries in the UN and assign them a percentage value based on their populations and GDP. All UN countries will total 100%. Make them responsible for their percentage to fund the UN. Any country that receives aid from the US and doesn't pay their share of the UN dues, then that amount will be subtracted from the aid check the US sends them.

Just who is Zero's Climate Czar

Carol Browner, energy czar

1. listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change

2. ran the EPA under President Clinton; she was on the board of directors for the National Audubon Society, the League of Conservation Voters, the Center for American Progress and former Vice President Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection

to which the market rules and related dynamics should be subordinate

Obama signs this treaty, he will sign away our Sovereignty. Impeachable, treason? Failure to maintain his oath of office?

rather than tax CO2, perhaps it would be easier to tax O2

You assume of course that we will still be living under the laws of our Constitution and not some International mandate.

In January 2008 did you ever think we would be where we are now? I didn’t. I figured we had a decade or more.

I used to think it would be a bad idea to leave the UN because the US could do more good utilizing the Veto power they hold, but it's become clear that the UN is irredeemable and corrupt through and through and the US ultimately does more ill in the world by remaining because the US funds the crimes the UN commits. I, for one, do not wish to be made complicit in their crimes, just as I refuse to be complicit in the murder of babies via abortion.

Since when can the UN levy taxes on the United States?

I was under the impression that only Congress could levy a tax on Americans.

Since Obama, Nancy, and Harry.
