Pro-Life Amendment KILLED -- STOP this PRO-ABORTION bill!
Pro-Life Action League | 12-09-09 | Eric Scheidler (e-mail)

Click to see video, "The Foot Soldiers." Contains some graphic images.

Last night the Senate defeated the Nelson-Hatch amendment, which would have prohibited government from paying for abortion in the healthcare reform bill, like the Hyde Amendment currently does. Despite the fact that most Americans do not want their government to pay for abortion with their money, the Senate gave into Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby.

That means that the Senate health care bill -- along with its other problems -- is a baldly PRO-ABORTION bill. We have to STOP it. Please contact your senators TODAY and urge them to vote NO on cloture in order to end debate and kill this horrible bill. FIRST, send an e-mail message to your senators by filling out the simple form you'll find here:

http://tinyurl.com/WriteYourSenators

THEN call your senators at 202-224-3121 to urge them to vote NO on the health care bill because it pays for abortion. A call to the senators' state offices is a great idea too.

Please mobilize your family and friends to act today and melt down their senators' phone lines. This could be the LAST CHANCE to stop the biggest abortion expansion since Roe v Wade.

Yours for Life,

Eric Scheidler

I agree, I just wish the pro-life groups would have signed onto fighting this bill before, without having to wait for the “pro-life” provision (which we all knew was going to disappear from the final bill) to go away.

As I understand it, they will give phonies like Ben Nelson cover in the conference committee by putting the prolife amendment back in this monstrosity. The 54 impressive senators who voted against it can then say that indeed they voted against it in the Senate but won’t stop the whole bill because it’s back in. This is all orchestrated, and as we all know, liberals will find a way to fund abortions anyway. The law and the constitution never gets in their way on anything.

Since the ENTIRE bill is anti-life and anti-democracy, leaving the abortion provisions in is the best thing that could have happened. Now, even our Marxist cardinals need to get opposed to the WHOLE stinker bill. Besides, the bill has just lost a few crucial votes from some of the commu-crat senators.

A government that runs your health care is a totalitarian regime. No matter what.

Unfortunately evil has taken over the democrat party as they blindly follow their murderous leader. They are in reality following the dictates of Satan and his disciple in the White House. What do they gain by the slaughter of the most innocent of human beings? We the people will be made unwilling accomplices in their murder by making us pay for this, the most evil practice of unlimited abortion. God help us rid the United States of these immoral evil people.

the American Catholic Bishops thought they could cut a very clever deal with the Devil. Obtain their vision of “social justice” on healthcare while securing an abortion funding ban. Instead of taking to the pulpits and urging the faithful to kill the bill, they tried to participate in back-door maneuvering on the Stupak amendment. As any of us could have predicted, they are now being thrown overboard. And the outcome of their deal with the Devil will be truly Demonic.

The Bishops trying to outmaneuver Harry Reid and company on a political deal is sort of like the South Hackensack Sandlot team taking on the New York Yankees.

Letters, phone calls, or prayer will not deter the Senate.

hey! let it go through without the abortion exception...

that way, a vast number of Americans will refuse to pay taxes on moral and religious grounds...

which would just crush 0bambi’s plans

I don't know that I could take that cynical of a stance on things. Most bishops do not want a tie-in with Satan. I think the Catholic Church, by and large, does not like to get its faithful "all charged up" on any particular event that is going on. Even when someone very holy dies, it is years and years before they become a saint. They avoid "sensation," and thoroughly search out the matter first.

I *do* however feel that something more should have been said at the onset of this past election. It was obvious to very many Catholics (Michael Voris, RealCatholicTV, and Randall Terry, founder of Operation Rescue, to name a couple) who were screaming their lungs out about the doom and gloom that America was hinging on, yet the bishops, for the most part, remained rather silent.

It's my hope the bishops start speaking up with more volume, and orchestrate their flock towards the usage of the Rosary, daily Mass, Confession, etc. Also, the bishops need prayer. If anyone who criticizes them is not also praying for them, then they are missing out on a great opportunity to positively affect history.

“When the people fear the government you have tyranny, when the government fears the people you have liberty.” Thomas Jefferson

Until the above statement is true once again, we will have tyranny, not liberty, And that tyranny includes the murder of unborn children.

Yeah, but it wasn’t the Stupak Amendment, it was the Stupid Conservatives Amendment. Only stupid conservatives supported and voted for it.

Anyone with an ounce of wisdom could see how this would play out.

The only two republicans to vote to table the Nelson Amendment were Snowe and Collins of Maine. No surprise there. I called their offices today and read their staffies the riot act. Then I called my senators in NH and in Fla, and called Ben Nelson’s office. Lieberman’s voice mailbox was full. Please call Snowe and Collins.
