Time to Declare War on Democratic Blackmailers (Superman's girlfriend analyzes politics)
Hidden Mysteries ^ | December 07 2009 | MARGOT KIDDER

Posted on 12/08/2009 7:11:11 AM PST by tlb

The Democratic Party needs an intervention and then it needs to be sent to rehab. The lunacy behind the thinking of many traditional Democrats that any Democrat in Congress is better than no Democrat at all needs to be exposed and treated for the infectious disease that it is.

The absence of democracy in a congress whose votes are bought, sold, and traded like pork bellies by big corporations in exchange for highly profitable votes and amendments on bills is a bi-partisan infection.

The fact that 20 to 25 percent of Americans support policies and politicians that are bat s@@t crazy is not as much a concern as the fact that 50 to 60 percent of Americans support politicians whose policies are for sale to the highest bidder, and exist independent of any underlying morality or consistent philosophy of government. Arlen Specter calls himself a Democrat for God’s sake. And so does Ben Nelson. And Blanche Lincoln. These are not Democrats; they’re Republicans in Donkey suits.

In the big D.C. high school known as congress, “practical” politics is all the rage with the in crowd these days. It’s Rahm Emmanuel speak for accepting the system as it is and playing the game better than anyone else. Get all the dough you need from huge corporations - and what’s a concession or two or twenty compared to several million dollars of f@@k-you money in the campaign chest that will ensure you can four wall the country with television ads in 2012 and thus get Obama a second term? It is essentially a philosophy of “anti-change”,

We can target every one of these fake Democrats and ...soften them up for the blows of the more polished and hopefully “progressive” politicians who will remove them from office.

"Margot Kidder is an actress and activist living in Livingston, Montana."

Interesting piece. Change the names and it's a paulist manifesto. Except Margot didn't say anything nasty or childish about Megan.

When business profits and survival are determined primarily by government policy, businesses will desperately try to affect those policies.

The cure is not to elect different politicians, it is to get the government out of the position of deciding who succeeds and who fails.

honestly who cares what Lois here has to say
she was found ranting and raving with her head partly shaved at one point in the late 90s or early 2000s

Gee, what a profound, life-altering shock it is to discover that this eminently stable woman is an enthusiastic 'Rat devotee. ;)

Margot lives in Montana, as so many crazed Follywood libs do, because their insane liberal politics has totally ruined CA.

Yup. She’s a sad case. Hopefully her 12 step program is working for her. But it won’t make her any less loony.

How easy it is for Democrats to use the words of war when they are angry at American citizens. But against those we are actually at war with? Shhhhhhhhh, don’t make ‘em mad, don’t call ‘em out, give ‘em what they want. Feh!

I think that’s the normal sequence. First, you get into drugs. Next, you disappear for days, wandering around strangers’ back yards in a manic-depressive episode. Only then are you qualified to drive policy for the Democrat party.

“Kidder has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which led to a widely publicized manic episode in 1996. Kidder was found in undergrowth by Los Angeles police in a distressed state, and placed in psychiatric care.”

Margot can WRITE! AND she can think, which was something I haven’t been too sure about in recent years, since she’s had some strange and well publicized episodes. She’s fierce sounding enough to eventually come around much closer to our side. Maybe I missed it, but nothing was said about Obama, just Rahm Emanuel. But she hits most of her targets, just hasn’t put everything in a very sophisticated perspective.

Actually, I thought she was dead, from an overdose...

Maybe in her foggy mind she thinks, "Hey, if I become a reporters, maybe Superman WILL fly in through the window.".

“Margot Kidder is an actress and activist living in Livingston, Montana.”

Unless I am mistaken, Margot Kidder is also a Canadian.
I believe she studied for the Bar up there?

I’ve notice that they sure like to throw around the “SH” word on lefty blogs!!

We don’t call it that most of the time, but that’s what it is.

China, Russia and Europe have various versions, as do most Latin American and other 3rd World countries.

In its milder versions it’s called crony capitalism, when the business side of the alliance dominates.

I’m really curious why the author of this piece thinks the answer is just to elect the “right” people. Doesn’t she realize most of them will quickly be corrupted by the system? The answer is to change the system, not hope for the election of those rare individuals who are above being corrupted. (Most of those people have other flaws that are often more dangerous.)
