Title should read: "Major winter storm to wallop central U.S."
The REAL headline of this story:
“Major winter storm to wallop central U.S.”
While I like your title better, the “DON’T CHANGE THE ORIGINAL TITLE!” ZEALOTS HERE WILL FLAME YOU. So I get in before the flame ;-)
OMG I was too slow!
Yeah, my first reaction was, I can’t believe that is the actual title! (Climate change, by definition, refers to multi-decadal variation in weather)
I think that this will be the bitter cold winter.
“The first major winter storm of the season will strike parts of Southwestern and north-central United States between Monday and Wednesday, causing widespread power outages and making travel nearly impossible, forecasters said...Dangerous Arctic air could spill southward by midweek.”
Glo-Bull Warming at it’s best.
Oops!
I’m so happy that my electric company decided to go green and take taxpayer money for green initiatives. I’m even happier that they more than doubled my bill.
Idiots.
Well surprise, the climate changed from fall climate to winter climate and it is only December. Never fear it will change again in a few months.
This is reminiscent of the 60s to mid-70s, when such things happened from time to time. Still not much in the way of sun spots in sight....
hh
There is a reason for the "zealotry". Use common sense and you will figure it out.
What is the deal with CNN advertising on Drudge that they are #1?
Correct. December in the Midwest usually means snow.
Maybe it’s just a figment of my imagination but I use more and more wood to warm the abode with each new year. The hydronics alway turn on at the same times in the mornings for the last five years.
LOL at this point, I’m just happy with anything not Tiger.
I live in the California Central Valley, and the big news this morning is ...it may snow! It has been about 20 years since it last snowed in the valley.
Good thing we have global warming or the glacier would return.
There will be some substantial warming and storms coming to the midwest in April. In fact hot and cold air will be stuggling with each other for a time.
geesh
