Men did not write the Bible. To believe that discredits it. Why would you believe any of it if it were written by men?
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Men did translate it but they translated God’s words accurately. I know that because Christ said:
Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

God gives us the formula for interpreting His Word and ultimately those people who doubt its authorship interpret it wrong.

1Cr 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Cr 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Read it as if you were testing God. Challenge God saying, “If your word is true, prove it to me while I read.” Let is say what it says, don’t try to find symbolism or contradictions, not saying you wont find it. See what happens. Start with the Gospel of John, then read Romans, then Psalm 119.

I'm sorry, men quite obviously wrote the Bible, unless you believe it sprang from a tree or rock printed and bound, or some other miraculous method of appearance.

Believing that does not discredit it. Men have written fine, even divinely inspired works. The Declaration and the Constitution, or the Statute of Religious Freedom, or even The Screwtape Letters.

I would believe it, even written by men, if it accords with what I believe is right and wrong, and what can be learned through prayer and reflection.
