I like the dragging out part, but how about the guillotine instead of harmless tar and feathers?

In the first Capitol Hill airing of the issue, House Republicans read excerpts from at least eight of the e-mails, saying they showed the world needs to re-examine experts' claims that the science is settled. One e-mail from 2003 was by John Holdren, then of Harvard University and now the president's science adviser.

This administration has lost the trust of the majority of its citizens. If they sign on to this hoax in Copenhagen, whatever credibility they had left will be gone and the angst that has caused so many to deflect from the democratic party will swell the ranks of those openly opposing this administration. We can't count on our own news media for details, but foreign news sources (and Australia) have already called this scam what it truly is.
