Why couldn’t we train our own people to learn the Muzzie language? We’ve been at this for 8 years now.
The quick answer is that we do, particularly in the Special Forces. I don't know how fluent they are, but their language skills are in such demand that their deployment schedules are insane. They may have pealed a few of those soldiers/sailors/airmen off their duties to act as interogators. Who knows?
