"Machismo!" shouted a young college student in the third row.
"Tough!" "Violent!" "Homophobic!" shouted three other young men, sprinkled throughout the packed lecture hall. Ethan Wong, a student at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn., who was dressed in a slim business suit, nodded as he wrote each word on the chalk board.
The roomful of young men was brainstorming all the qualities associated with masculinity. Mr. Wong was one of the organizers of the National Conference for Campus-Based Men's Gender Equality and Anti-Violence Groups, a long and clunky name for an unprecedented event that recently took place at his school. It was the first time that young guys from around the country -- guys like Mr. Wong, who recognize that the kind of masculinity they are describing is toxic for both men and women -- gathered to share strategies for getting college men involved in gender-based activism and discuss the work ahead.

None of them seem to know what giant pussies they all sound like do they?
So basically, they’re stereotyping men in their quest to end prejudiced, sexist stereotypes.
And they’re at college.
So there you have it, the colleges don’t necessarily take the best and brightest or they would recognize their own irony.
Why don’t they just cut their own bollocks off and be done with it?
Was there a testicle lockbox at the door, or were these so-called “men” ball-less long before they were clueless?
Worth repeating.
It's either that or they really are gay.
Quite true. They take the ones they can mold into torch-bearers for the leftist, America and Christian hating agenda they espouse.
Weird. I knew some feminist men and they beat their wives. It was their way of “venting”.
The idea of Alan Alda types “taking up arms” cracks me up. If somebody had turned a mouse loose in that room, the “feminist men” would have crapped their panties.
Just another form of cat fight.
What a stupid thing to have your name attached to. Women don’t respond to girly-men. These guys are going to be 40 year old virgins.
"Tough!" "Violent!" "Homophobic!..."
"Responsible!"
"Protective!"
"Heteronormative!"
These clowns don't even know the flavor of the Kool Aid they are drinking. It's an old flavor, been around since the 70s, called "emasculation".
Great article in this month’s NRA “America’s First Freedom” magazine about how hunting and outdoorsmanship is pivotal to turning out responsible adults, man or woman. The crux of the argument is that independence is born from the ability to provide for oneself, something that might not necessarily be possible by today’s metrosexual garbage.
Think about the fun we’d have with the she-men scrounging through trash and rubble for food or guns when CWII or WWIII start.
Did Alan Alda give the keynote speech?
Just as I suspected.
They weren’t actually taking up arms, like real men would.
What a bunch of post-modernized pussies.
What ever happened to the notion that real men were chivalrous, educated, reliable, honest, and righteously dangerous?
“Toxic” masculinity? You wanna know what’s toxic? Trying to make men into women. Trying to equate “equality” with “uniformity.”. Usurping an ancient biological prerogative in favor of a contrived social whim.
If these nancies are ashamed of their maleness, let them be. I’m ashamed of them too.
Brave!
Courageous!
Intrepid!
Pioneering!
Enterprising!
Reasoning!
Logic!
Real men don’t need such things as they ..........
The primary focus of any guy in college is to get laid.
These guys are just doing this to try to get laid.
They trying the old “I’m sensitive and I care all about you and I love your cats and I’m not all those other guys” rap.
But they will figure out pretty fast that the only chicks you pick up using that line are mess up ugly soon to be lesbian chicks.
