His religion shouldn’t have anything to do with it as long as he’s from the Judeo/Christian beliefs, as were our founders.

See that is the problem. Many people don't think Mormons are Christian.

But the ONLY posts that I recall about his mormonism were from his supporters accusing everybody that opposed Romney of opposing him because of bigotry against his mormonism.

The only Mormon I know personally was a Social Studies teacher in high school. On his blackboard was written..

"From each according to his ability.
To each according to his need. " --

I kid you not.

“Should Romney’s faith be an obstacle? (barf alert)”

So, America? How’s having a Muslim as president working out for you? You tell me, CNN...

That’s why I prefaced my statement by saying a Glen Beck type Mormon would be okay.

Interestingly, in the same article 18% said they would vote for Palin.

The only principles he has are liberal principles.

His religion may be an issue to some, but the vast majority of FReepers are intelligent enough to look at his record, which speaks for itself.

He’s a liberal. I don’t care if he does have an (R) after his name. It stands for RINO.

If you like him, then you can start your own “I Love Romney” cult forum@FailureRepublic.

As for me, many here have already posted his track record.

His religion shouldn’t.

His blatant hypocrisy absolutely does.

Didn’t SOMEONE have a similar diatribe against George W. Bush, calling him a coke head, and vowing to never support him, but then he did?

Didn’t SOMEONE have a similar diatribe against John McCain, vowing to never support him, but then he did?

C’mon now.. truth in advertising and all...

But Romney has a political problem: his Mormon religious faith.

Shouldn't be a problem because it's so WEAK!

How could a life long MORMON; born into the faith, holding so MANY church offices over the years; how could a person like that EVER have any stance other than staunchly PRO-life? And yet... .,.. the record speaks for itself.

Maybe xcamel is referring to Jim Robinson who is definitely in the “I hate Romney” group from what I can tell.

Glad you’re so willing to help FR become something less credible than the DU with this childish behavior.

Please: point out the CHILDISH part.

If you cannot; perhaps excamel is on way to become ex-Freeper...

What on earth did I say to warrant that comment?

Being against Mitt is enough!

You know that FACTS can't be successfully challenged; so name calling is next in line.

Mormons might be nice folks and good business men ,

Try telling this to fellow MORMONs who get SCAMMED by these wonderful 'business men'!

No WONDER Utah is tops in the USofA for Prozac® usage!

My infamous coke head rant was against the author of the WSJ editorial I posted it to. She brought forth the “coke use” idea as in it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to elect another coke user (after Bill Clinton) in these modern times, etc. After all, she intimated, we all did it in our youth. According to her story, the allegation of coke use was a cute not really lawbreaking activity just like speakeasies were cute and not really lawbreaking activities during prohibition. No, Ms Noonan, we didn’t all do it.

And at least Bush was pro-life.

And I didn’t vote for McCain. Have the “I voted For Sarah and the White Haired Old Guy” button to prove it. Obviously he would not have received a vote from me had she not been on the ticket. And there are millions of other conservatives in the pro-Palin, anti-McCain camp.

And at least McCain was pro-life.

And Sarah is unabashedly pro-life and conservative in all respects! She talks the talk and walks the walk!

Romney is a gun-grabbing, big government, abortionist/socialist and will never get my vote even if someone like Palin is on his ticket.

If the GOP goes for Romney, I’m out!

FR will be 100% anti Romney and 100% for whichever prominent pro Life & Liberty conservative steps forward to fill the void.
