Colleges cost more and more, and the kids coming out of them can’t even read and write.

The only thing the University system is designed to do is to provide healthy 6-figure salaries and lifetime jobs to liberals who would starve to death if they had to live on their own wits.

The price of college in traditional public and non-profit private schools has gone through the roof. When I was a young man, the tuition at Pitt was $1000/year- now its $13000.

Its not suprising at all that entrepenuers have realized that they can make a profit at the current market prices and have entered the field big-time.

My son works for the University of Phoenix, and it is true that a lot of the college aid is approved for these schools is being wasted, but it is not going to the colleges. The fault lies in the application process which admits anyone with a high school diploma.

Con artists figured out how to exploit the system right away, especially benefits for handicapped and minorities. My son had a call from someone who was very open about the scam and asked my son to co-operate with his fraud. The guy wanted to register 32 handicapped applicants at one time and apply for government aid. One semester of government aid is paid to the school and the rest goes to the students. The filer paid each of the students a small sum and kept the rest of the money for himself. No work was ever completed and if the school turned down the students a complaint would be filed against the school and the counselor for discrimination.

My son just told the guy to call another registration counselor, he wasn’t interested. Evidently the filer had been working this scam for quite awhile because he knew the process and internal documenting system better than my son.

Don’t think for a moment that they’re not connected to the Dems in Congress. It’s ALWAYS this way.
