(CNN) - The battle for NY-23 is over. The battle for NY-23 has just begun.

After conceding the congressional race to Democrat Bill Owens for the second time in the district’s special congressional election, Doug Hoffman has announced the launch of his 2010 campaign for the seat.

“So where to now? Full speed ahead to 2010,” the 2009 Conservative Party nominee told supporters in a message posted on his campaign’s Web site. “Although I’m conceding an election today, I do it with the certainty that we will win back this seat a year from now.”

How can he lose? Owens promised to vote against healthcare and abruptly sold out to Nanzi. Game Over.

Hoffman should be concentrating on the security of the ballots. He should file FOIA requests, lawsuits, press releases, etc designed to discourage or deter voter fraud and make sure those damn machines are fair.

Owens broke 4 campaign pledges within an hour of being sworn in...

I’d make that the only ad...and run it non stop until the election.

I’d do a series of four ads, one on each broken promise.

Yes he should go after voter fraud, hard and heavy and not stop.

ACORN, illegal alien votes, fraudulent voters. The whole 9 yards unrelenting.

The GOP won't fight what is killing them (voter fraud), but maybe this conservative will keep the pressure on.

I agree the election should be made the poster child for investigating elections where the results just don't add up, like more votes than voters and that sort of thing. But I'm not so sure it should be Hoffman who's doing it, but rather the GOP or some other organization. It Hoffman does it the other side can claim sour grapes. It needs to be done by someone who knows what they are doing, and can get it done quickly and correctly.

If we don't get a handle on the election process in our country the open borders won't matter. The absolute, number one, top of the heap priority simply MUST be the ability to hold an election that accurately represents the votes cast by qualified voters. Failing in that we are done for.

Debacles like the Al Franken win have got to end.

re: The GOP won’t fight what is killing them

Well, we can just add that to our list of things we plan to fix once we’ve cleared Congress and our Party of the Curse of the RINO.

True. But the fight needs to include eliminating RINOs. Still can’t believe how many here on FR supported her, and then blamed the loss on Hoffman.

I think a big deal should be made of the fact that EVERY recount results in an increase in votes for the Democrat. This is statistically impossible, if random factors are to blame for the indiscrepancies. Of course, we know they are not.
It would be a great report for an independent think tank to tackle.

"Well, we can just add that to our list of things we plan to fix once we’ve cleared Congress and our Party of the Curse of the RINO."

Which is exactly why I am encouraging the Conservative Hoffman to act NOW.

Fixing the fraud, ACORN etc virus is something that cannot wait until the GOP purges RINOs.

If you are a member of the GOP, get to work on it now I suggest.

Looks like a RINOvirus to me...Conservativeness is the antidote.

Will Hoffman get the full support of the RNC and the larger Republican establishment? If so, they have a lot of work to do and should begin immediately. If not, he’s screwed and we’re screwed and the RNC and Republican establishment will have shown themselves to be part of the problem and not part of the solution.

My message to Steele and others: Your first priority is to get the best (read: most conservative) people elected a fair election. A fair election cannot be had if the Democrats are allowed to cheat like they’ve done in every election in recent memory. Do not compromise! Do not waffle! Do not fail!
