The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15. This is the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for President Obama (see trends).
Fifty-two percent (52%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 68% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, just 16% Strongly Approve and 51% Strongly Disapprove (see other recent demographic highlights from the tracking poll).

I knew this was going to be a good day!
DRIP, DRIP, DRIP
and only 33% among Independents. I wonder when we’ll start hearing the media talk about how much of a turn of Obama is to independents. How polarizing he is. Can’t get more polarizing than 85% of dems approve and 85% of reps disapprove.
So in fairly recent polls we now have Obama at 33% and Biden at 32% among Is. You’d never know it from the media.
I guess Newsweek will now put that topless picture of Obama at the beach on their cover telling us how he’s bad news for his party and the country

If Obama gets healthcare, immigration, cap and trade and VAT in his first term, there is no need to go to a 2nd term. History would show he did the most “change” to this country.

I think that 27% strongly approve number means that some of the leftists have abandoned Obama because he’s not moving fast enough for them. Where’s gay marriage and a free pie in every mailbox?
Because roughly a third of the country, as the saying used to go during the impeachment days, would vote for bill clinton after watching him rape a dead boy on prime time TV. That’s 33%. And here’s Obama down to 27%.
Bush dropped as low as he did because a fair number of conservatives finally turned against him, as well as all the screaming lefties. And I think the same thing is happening to Obama.
In any case, great news. The Dems in congress have got to be watching their backs, at this point. Obama sure isn’t going to offer them much protection if they vote for his monster health and global warming bills.
He can’t go much lower because 27% are hard core leftists. The dissaprove will go much higher once KSM walks out of NYC and onto a plane free as a bird after exposing our secrets and kicking the quisling prosecutors (the DOJ lawyer handling the case will be a hard core leftist who hands over every scrap of info he can) collective asses.

I agree. Obama is walking point for the Pelosi-Reid agenda. I think that they expect him to be a 1-termer. And if he is, they will say that the reason he failed was.... America is still a racist country.
What you say is true, and I share your disdain for this particular cohort of veritable idiots, but I believe "strongly approve" is going even lower.
I was a liberal once, in my younger years, and I knew then the tremendous psychological trappings that came with membership in the "movement". To oppose "the man" and be recognized as one of the anointed gave members a sense of superiority, and more importantly feelings of belonging never felt before.
For this tribe, it's not so much about the issues as the social trappings membership affords. Although this 27% is composed of idiots young and old, the ties that bind are extremely juvenile. Thus they are extremely fickle, prone to fits if they don't get what they want, or if the social and psychological benefits don't accrue to them by virtue of placing their faith in The One.
Obama is beginning to lose them because he is becoming an embarrassment to them. These people need the culture at large to give them the seal of approval to continue to back this man, or the whole house of cards comes crumbling down. When Hollywood turns, or the NYT turns, or Daily Kos begins to withdraw its support, the "movement" is dead for these people because they require approval of all of the above to continue to derive the social and psychological benefits.
Leftism, underpinned as it is by lies and revised history, requires constant affirmation, this is what the MSM, SNL, Maureen Dowd, and Daily Kos provide them in spades. I truly believe the SNL skit Saturday night was a death blow to Obama's support, not to mention Mo's recent column, and Anglina Jolie's recent "coming out" as not-so-enamored with Obama. Maybe, since the Rasmussen poll doesn't record their individual answers, they will continue to push to "strongly approve" button, but their overt enthusiasm is gone, dead, kaput. They will try not to talk about it, we'll hear nothing but the chirping of crickets from leftist quarters from here on in. Their support structure comes from without, not within, and therefore, just like the wicked witch, the house has now fallen down on them, nothing but their little feet hanging out.
