The pro-AGW guy says that the “new models” still support AGW. These guys just kill me. They keep talking about these models as though they tell the real story. The models require simplifying assumptions and fudge factors. You can make a model say whatever you want, depending on the simplifying assumptions and fudge factors that you use.
The real test of models is their predictive power. Making them match a certain set of pre-existing data proves nothing.

It's amazing to me that the press is always ready to accuse the oil companies of funding the research of "deniers". Yet, the proponents of AGW have gotten billions of dollars from various government agencies in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, the UN, and Europe. These government agencies almost never fund any research that might disprove AGW.
Yeah, he might have a vested interest. His whole career and income are based on AGW continuing to be a concern.

I think when he said “and there are new models coming out every day” he tipped their hand...abandon the facts and sell the “models” which, as his worthy opponent (the guy kicking his ass) pointed out “models aren’t evidence.”
