I’ve seen more than a few trolling questions like that over time. Usually from n00b accounts (banned ex-FReepers), but sometimes from these older ones that oh-so-earnestly “suggest” old, failed liberal phonies “instead of Sarah” using the same debunked talking points about SW so-called successes (yeah, he had one - he killed the MA GOP, no success for us). A lot of the Slick Willardbots had/have multiple accounts and would use their less active “extra” accounts for such kinds of posts (and usually never respond to the replies).
I save the DINO label for a very select few not just to refer to the more moderate wing of the party.
The thing about the more moderate rats, they are in the seats we can win. They know that, it’s usually the reason they talk conservative and don’t vote as quite as liberal as Pelosi.
Most of the super nutbars (with exceptions like that freshman Grayson in Florida) are in safe seats.
Since these wackjobs turn people off the rat party in general it’s nice to have them at the forefront.
Some say it’s too bad Jihad Cindy lost in Georgia, her replacement is 95% as liberal as she is but is a low key guy who doesn’t spew insane stuff that makes people dislike democrats.

I doubt that this thread will remain active this long after its inception. Perhaps, I should cast the argument in this way. Experience and competence (I suspect especially in foreign affairs, as the Big O is failing miserably here as anyone of us has predicted) will be key voter concerns in 2012. In the popular conception, whether deserved or not, Ms Palin suffers in these attributes. The challenge for her supporters (of which I am one) is figure out how to mitigate the popular conception of her.

There’s your problem. You should’ve been paying close attention. We were here every day closely scrutinizing this man and his appalling record and attempts at a leveraged buyout of the GOP, a party for which he harbors a pathological hatred going back to his father’s rebuke at getting the Presidential nomination.
Back in the ‘60s and ‘70s, his parents were trying to flood the GOP with liberals and run out Conservatives. This scumbag wasn’t a Republican (let alone Conservative) in the 1980s as a grown man in his 40s, he was a Carter-Mondale-Dukakis supporter, and proudly exclaimed his liberalism and being opposed to “Reagan-Bush” when he was running for Senator in ‘94 (I know, I was up in MA for the end of his campaign). Then the man tries to proclaim himself as the savior of the MA GOP which his liberal RINO buddies had spent destroying bit by bit, and by the time this Democrat agent was done, he buried the party with his fleeing from office in 2007 after a disastrous single term.
The fact he spent every waking hour whoring after the Presidential nomination after the willful fiasco he created, buying support from rubes, bribing other groups to support him to give him a false veneer of credibility... and when he couldn’t buy the nomination of either the Presidency or VP slot, using his operative to smear and slime Sarah Palin and her family at every turn, and still going around to party functions acting as though he has so much as an ounce of intellectual integrity or morality. He is the single biggest political phony I’ve ever seen in my life. That includes Zero, Bubba Clintoon, and most of the rodent party, for whom he has gone to extraordinary lengths to aid in their Socialist cause.
So, you’ll understand why many of us here, including JimRob, have nothing but justifiable and visceral contempt for phonies like him (or Huckster, or the entire RINO/DIABLO faction, trying to destroy the Conservative movement while furthering their own careers), and when people make truly ignorant comments about how “successful and competent” either he or Huckster are, when they are the absolute antithesis of success or competence. Like that song goes, King Midas in reverse... King Midas with a curse.
As for Governor Palin, the best advice to give her is simple, be yourself. Don’t be a phony, don’t try to be all things to all people. The people will see what she is, the real deal, and everything else will take care of itself.

Anyway, JimRob has decided to enlighten the start of each thread (regardless of subject matter) with a video of Slick Willard’s antics (this usually in the spot where the fundraising links go during that period). Thought you might find it interesting. It’s just about marking 3 years (!) since I first urged those bots to be sacked from this website for the problems and flamewars they create and inspire.
