Don’t forget Timmy’s still got the ability to create a whole slew of new voters by restoring felons’ voting rights. Gosh, I wonder how they’d vote?
The problem is NEVER that there is not enough money coming in, but that there is TOO MUCH SPENDING!!!

Yes. And if Virginia is having budget troubles now, just wait til if and when Obamacare passes. It shifts a huge portion of Medicaid costs to the states. The only way to pay that bill is raise taxes.
Every state is going to get screwed by Mengelecare. I’d love to see a few opt out with the force of legislation and maybe appeals to the US Supreme Court.
Exactly. I’d like to see states start right now passing legislation that effectively blunts the ability of the federal government to hit them with unfunded mandates.
If nothing else, these laws could serve as a basis for litigation, which is sorely needed to clear up the issues of federalism that are multiplying with a fiscally out-of-control federal government.
More governors have to be told, forcefully and repeatedly, that Obamacare is going to bite their state budgets and force state tax hikes. Some states are going to have more than 50% of the present cost of Medicaid shifted from federal dollars to state! HELLO.
We all ain’t seen nothin’ yet. All the states will be raising taxes to pay for this healthcare sham.
Add in all the taxes from the feds on down and we will be fighting over box lots under interstate overpasses.
But this opens up another avenue of opposition: the Governors.
