The city council of Tampa, Fla., voted unanimously last week to include "gender identity and expression" as a protected class under the city's human rights ordinance, leading some to fear the council has opened the city's public bathroom doors to sexual predators masquerading as protected transsexuals.

Glad I don’t live in Tampa - but this insanity will likely come to my liberal lunacy haven run by a Demonazi Mayor in Raleigh, NC.

Heard today the NC Legislature is now looking at, for the first time, TAXING SERVICES.

NC is heading down the hellhole of Democommie destruction - and it was once and still is beautiful place to live....used to be a haven.

Now it is corruption leader of the south. Tax leader of the South. And the Mayor of Raleigh wanted to ban garbage disposals....but that got revoked. He also wants to tax those who use more water than others. And it is now criminal to put plastic bottles in the garbage.

! Wherever Dems go they destroy.

November, 2009: Tampa city council votes to permit the use of women’s restrooms by transsexual males.

December 2009: Two new psychological gender identity conditions, Intermittent Transsexualism and Alcohol Induced Transsexualism, are first discovered in Tampa, Florida.

Lines at the women’s restrooms at the local football stadium are now reported to be three to four times as long as they were before passage of the new ordinance. This is especially noticeable in the third and forth quarters of a game.

Members of the city council certainly know their own preferences ~ and now so does everyone else.

These people should be locked up before they get hurt.

I don't care how "confused" you are -- if you walk into a ladies room when my daughter is in there, you'll be a lady when you walk out.

defining "lady" loosely.
... and "walk" very broadly.

So, basically, girls can’t use the bathroom safely, anymore. I think there is a big disconnect from reality on these kinds of laws in part because fewer people raise children, any more. There are so many singles and childless couples, and people who raised their children a long time ago. People forget completely to take children into account. In some people’s world, they don’t exist.

No wonder it is the top destination for out-migrants from New Jersey!

There was a time not so long ago when Tampa was considered to be staid and conservative - especially compared to St. Petersburg, its liberal counterpart across the bay.

But immigration of northern liberals who moved south to escape the liberal, taxaholic north changed that.
As soon as northern liberals get settled in they do two things:

1 - Express relief about escaping from their Nanny-State, tax and spend northern states and cities.

2 - Start a campaign to convert their new city and state into a copy of the place they just fled.

There’s a detective story about that (predator lurking in ladies’ rooms disguised as a woman, in Florida to boot.) Heroine ended up smashing his head with toilet tank cover... but public restrooms generally don’t have tanks.

Sorry I do not want to sit in the next stall to someone with guy parts no matter how female he thinks he is.

Conservative women should not tolerate any whining from their liberal girlfriends in Tampa over this issue.

You don't have to be a child to feel your privacy invaded when a linebacker in a blond wig shares the ladies' room with you.

In NYC, where PC is wielded like a pickax, we already have had this for years. I'm sure no one is surprised. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

...and Connecticut. LOTS of former CT residents are now living in North Carolina - a trend that started here about 20-25 years ago, I think. And I'm sure these are mostly democRAT voters...

re: TAXING SERVICES

Florida tried that back in the early 80’s. It lasted about a year and then it was repealed. Proved to be very unpopular and it affected those with lots of political clout.

Government, at every level, doesn't have an income problem, it has an outgo problem.
