So back with the misdirection and avoidance, however the ridicule was a nice touch.

You sure are going to a lot of trouble to keep from answering a simple question.

I have been watching this thread for some time and I’ve made a few posts, and basically people are going to fall in one of two camps. The first camp are those who accept the Bible as the Word of God. The other is the camp that to a greater lesser extent does not accept the Bible is the Word of God.

And the question between those two viewpoints, is where is the person going to put their faith?

If while the Bible certainly does not say how old the earth it is, giving the syntax of it’s writing and pasting it certainly is not billions or trillions of years.

So it ultimately depend upon who you’re going to place your faith in, do you believe that God created everything versus do you believe only in man’s abilities?

I for one am going to side with God. And while I can cite are reasons why I take that position one of the first and foremost is in the light of my own experience. I have seen that the Gospel of Christ has changed people’s lives, I’ve seen prayer answered against all odds.

And while I believe there is a place for science in the world, it ultimately cannot answer the most perplexing questions that man is ever posed to himself why am I here what is my purpose and what existence is there beyond our lives? Science will never be able to answer those questions, its real purpose to me is to invent the longer-lasting lightbulb or cure some disease. Otherwise it has no real use in my opinion.

if (in) fact I’m quite (sure) I am not.

Assuming that is what you meant to type, then I guess the question of yours I responded to was not about you defending your own beliefs.
