Putting the city in danger
NY Post ^ | November 14, 2009 | STEVE CASSIDY

ATTORNEY General Eric Holder's decision to send the radical Islamic terrorists responsible for the 9/11 attacks to New York City for trial is horribly misguided.

This public-safety mistake will further endanger our city and the lives of New Yorkers.

New York City has always been in the crosshairs of terrorists seeking to attack our nation. Our city likely will always be the No. 1 terrorist target, but yesterday we had another bulls-eye placed on our backs, inviting yet another terrorist attack.

The trials for these murderous terrorists are expected to be long and drawn out -- perhaps taking years, thanks to myriad trial motions and appeals.

For the sane New Yorkers still living there, this must be a nightmare.

More evidence the people currently running the show have absolutely no clue about who they are dealing with and what they are doing...

This was my first thought when hearing Holder's speech live on BBC 5.

It's playing fast and loose with New Yorkers lives.

Obama and Holder will never reverse course. Remember they won. “Let them (us) eat cake”.

I can't imagine (or maybe I CAN imagine ) the turmoil NYCers must feel.

If there was EVER a time to tell the zero administration, "Ay, I gut'cher civilian court decision right here. " .. it's now.

And just imagine the outrage if through all the legal footfalls and loopholes even one of these guys is found not guilty, there is a mistrial or is convicted of much lesser charges, what if it ends up in the court of some completely leftist loon judge who enjoys legislating from the bench and he/she turns this into a dog and pony show all about how bad Bush/Cheney was...

Or if not, the judge and his entire family could have a fatwa in their future. Yeah, that ought to keep it impartial!
Same goes for the jury.

If the likes of Obama and Holder insist on finding ways to give AlQaeda a propaganda forum in order to embarass America, they can surely find one that doesn’t include putting so many lives in danger.

These guys are radical Marxists and want to bring this country down as far as they can - that’s what leftists do, after all - but it’s the way they treat human life so cheaply and regard humans as mere “things” to be used that bugs me about them more than anything.

YES! And, let’s not forget the unending “pork” this will provide for trial lawyers..I am hopeful that the peaceful backlash against all the daily insults to our freedom will build quickly so that WWIII can be avoided.

let’s not forget the unending “pork” this will provide for trial lawyers.

My first thought about this trial was that it would drag on for years, like Milosevic at the Hague, so that all interested parties could milk it for all it's worth. These creeps don't do anything based on right or wrong, it's all about mutual back-scratching.

I wonder what Dick Cheney thinks about this? Hopefully, he will speak out soon.

New York crybabies.....

You deserve what you get.

You put slimy Chuck Shumer, Charlie Rangle, Hillary Clinton and Obummer, the Marxist now posing as a Fascist, in office.

You repeated your liberal stupidity in the 23rd district again this month.

And you cry.

Yes, it is bad for NY that the trial will take place there, but your cry baby attitude is even worse for the fact that it is worse for the nation than it is for NY.

A trial in our court system only insures that the enemy will learn the names of people in the CIA and other government agencies who must remain in the shadows because of the very nature of their work. The discovery process will force them to testify and for their names to be known to the enemy.

Because their names will be available to the terrorists, their lives will be in danger.

Holder has already indicated that he would like to try our agents in criminal court for the way they have handled the terrorist problems, so in addition to CIA agents being put in personal danger of assassination by terrorists, they will now be exposed to the danger that their testimony in this case will give Holder and his like more opportunity to prosecute (persecute) them.

Erick Holder will very likely see to it that the case is tried before a liberal nutcase of his own kind, resulting in a sentence less severe than death, possibly even in a mistrial because of the methods used to secure confessions.

But all I hear out of NY is self pity.

Do you expect us to feel sorry for the idiot New Yorkers who voted these scumbags into office?

I feel sorrow for our country.

The problem for us is that they DO have a “clue about who they are dealing with and what they are doing...”

Not everybody is NY is a dirtbag and not all of them vote liberal Democrat. Let’s not forget that they voted Giuliani in for two terms. In a city of 8 million, of course there are rotten Marxist bastards, muzzie sympathizers, union stooges, and every kind of dupe and tool imaginable. Even with that, I don’t think it’s right to put the decent and patriotic people who live there through a travesty like this trial is sure to become.

Not to worry....KSM’s attorneys will probably be successful at having his trial moved to a location where he supposedly could get a fair “sheik.” — How about Detroit? A trial of his peers? They’d have about as great a chance for acquittal as OJ had with his trial held in downtown LA. Oh wait! My bad!

Of course you are right, but that was not my point.

My point is that the risks are much greater for the US as a whole than for NY, but all NY thinks about is NY. They are not really the center of the universe. When you read of our soldiers dying, you see that they are from KN, SC, CA , all over the country.

The defense will put our government, our CIA, our anti-terrorist methods on trial.

Individual agents will be on trial.

Not for their lives, but for their honor.

They will be forced to reveal information that will be advantageous to the enemy and to Holder to use against them.

Remember two things:

He has threatened to prosecute CIA agents for carrying out the instructions of the Bush administration.

He push hard for and got a pardon for the Puerto Rican terrorists who were convicted of multiple bombings and murders here in the US.

Holder is smart but he is a liberal radical nutcase.

It is a huge mistake to trust that he does not have more treachery in this matter.

Hey NY residents—better make sure you have your excuse ready for why you can’t report for jury duty that day.

I was going to post what you said, but you said it better than me. Just to name a few, states like New York, California, Illinois, Massachusetts have been foisting their crap on the rest of the country for too long. Pay back is hell.
